We are searching for the best talent for Tool Maker III.

Purpose: Conceptualize, fabricate, and verify prototype and non-standard devices using solid models, drawings, hand sketches, and verbal input, provided by designers and engineers, utilizing CAD/CAM software to program, set -up, and operate standard and sophisticated shop equipment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Partner with R&D to conceptualize, design, develop, and fabricate a wide variety of prototype, non-standard, and fixturing concepts.
  • Set up and operate all machine shop equipment, including programming and operating of 3 axis CNC machining centers, lathes, wire EDM, and manual machinery, demonstrating consistent optimum results.
  • Proficient in the use of all commonly utilized measuring equipment (i.e. micrometers, calipers, vision based systems) and custom measuring equipment, to inspect completed parts for accuracy, if required.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to import, program, and design solid models and drawings in support of prototype manufacturing.
  • Work closely with R&D designers and engineers to ensure accuracy, manufacturability, functionality, and timely completion of requests.
  • Effectively communicate ideas and concepts; maintaining and environment that provides open communication and team-based atmosphere.
  • Be an extremely flexible team-based player, adaptable to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Follow all safety requirements in performance of assigned tasks.
  • Be customer service oriented and experienced at interaction on all levels of R&D professionals.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Know and follow all safety, training procedures, and policies that apply to one’s job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, integrity, and compliance at all times.
  • Diligently participate in our compliance related program/activities as denoted by Management and our Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Responsible for communicating Business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, and local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION*

  • Technical school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Apprenticeship highly desirable.
  • 5+ years verifiable job experience as a Machinist or Tool Maker.
  • Medical device experience desirable (QSR, ISO, GMP).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS*

  • Programming with working knowledge of CNC equipment (mills, lathes, wire EDM, etc….).
  • CAD/CAM experience, MasterCam preferred.
  • Working knowledge of current safety requirements.
  • Standard proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc…).
