We are searching for the best talent for: Strategy & Operations LAN Manager - Bogotá
Purpose: The Strategy & Operations Manager, LAN (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru), is responsible for driving strategic planning, business performance management, and operational excellence across the North Latin America cluster. This role partners closely with the Managing Director, Leadership Team, and cross-functional stakeholders to define, execute, and monitor critical strategic initiatives while fostering a data-driven decision-making culture.
The position leads the Sales Operations function and acts as a strategic partner to business leaders, ensuring alignment between organizational priorities, business objectives, and execution plans. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, leadership through influence, project management capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.
You will be responsible for:
1. Strategic Initiatives & Project Management
Partner with the Managing Director and Leadership Team to define, execute, and monitor the LAN strategic agenda and key business priorities.
Lead strategic planning processes, including Business Plans, Brand Plans, LRFP, and leadership governance forums.
Establish and oversee the governance framework for strategic initiatives, ensuring effective execution, accountability, and achievement of business objectives.
Act as a strategic partner for cross-functional initiatives, facilitating alignment, decision-making, and execution across stakeholders.
Lead Launch Excellence governance and support the communication of strategic priorities and business outcomes across the organization.
2. Sales Operations Excellence Leadership
Lead and develop the Sales Operations team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Drive the evolution of commercial operations through enhanced data governance, analytics, reporting capabilities, and process optimization.
Develop and maintain business performance dashboards and scorecards that provide timely, actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
Champion a data-driven culture by promoting the use of analytics and business insights to improve commercial effectiveness and operational excellence.
Ensure Sales Operations processes, tools, and performance measures support business goals while maintaining compliance with company policies and standards.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Required
Bachelor’s degree required.
Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
Strong experience in strategic planning, business operations, sales operations, consulting, project management, or related business functions within the pharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively in a matrix environment without direct authority.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
Experience leading multiple initiatives simultaneously while managing timelines, risks, priorities, and stakeholder expectations.
Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
For external candidates, prior experience in leadership roles with direct interaction with commercial, marketing, medical affairs, market access, or other business-facing functions within the pharmaceutical industry is required.
Preferred
Master’s degree, MBA, or relevant professional certifications.
Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, Design Thinking, or other innovation frameworks.
Experience developing and facilitating workshops, strategic planning sessions, and leadership forums.
Strong knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools.
For internal candidates, experience partnering closely with business functions within the pharmaceutical industry is considered an asset.
