Innovative Medicine Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains.

The program will simplify the sector ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes to have a cost effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Innovative Medicine business with agility. Additionally, the program will remediate the end-of-life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade.

Interdependency Management Office (IMO) is setup under the IM Transcend Global PMO and the IMO Lead will be reporting directly to the Global PMO Lead.

Role Purpose and Governance

The Interdependency Management Office Lead is responsible for establishing and leading the governance, framework, and operating model needed to identify, monitor, and manage interdependencies across the IM Transcend transformation program.

Portfolio Integration and Strategic Alignment

This role drives an integrated portfolio process across the sector, connecting Transcend with other portfolios and programs to optimize value realization and delivery excellence. It requires broad engagement across the IM business to ensure strategic alignment from portfolio-level priorities through tactical delivery integration, all whilst maximizing transformational value.

Execution Support and Risk Management

The Lead enables proactive alignment across projects, functions, and stakeholders by surfacing interdependency impacts, supporting informed decision-making, and driving risk mitigation to strengthen program execution.

Capability Building and Continuous Improvement

The Lead also champions change management, continuous improvement, and team development to embed a sustainable and effective interdependency management capability across the program.

The IMO Lead will have 1-2 direct and extended consulting support, who will support in gathering and maintaining all data, performing needed analysis, curating content and reports to drive successfully the key objectives of IMO.

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Drive integrated portfolio process across the sector to connect Transcend with other portfolios / programs to optimize value realization and delivery excellence

  • Identify, map, and continuously monitor all interdependencies across projects, functions, and workstreams within and outside the IM Transcend program

  • Establish and chair governance forums and communication channels to escalate interdependency issues, resolve conflicts, and facilitate decision-making

  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks related to interdependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place and communicated to stakeholders. Where needed, drive cross-initiative solutioning and alignment to address risk holistically

  • Drive timely assessment and impact analysis of other initiatives on the IM Transcend program to mitigate risks and avoid unplanned events

  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders across functions, business, technology, and third parties (SIs and platform providers) to consolidate inputs and enable data-driven decision-making

  • Deliver regular, insightful reporting to senior leadership on interdependency status, risks, and mitigation progress

  • Inform and guide senior leadership on critical decisions by clearly articulating the true impact of interdependencies, helping prioritize issues, facilitating decision-making, and positively influencing focus on the most strategic topics

  • Own the end-to-end design, setup, and operationalization of the Interdependency Management Office (IMO) framework, governance, and operating model for the IM Transcend program

  • Champion change management and education efforts to embed the IMO methodology and operating model within the IM Transcend program

  • Continuously improve IMO processes and tools leveraging lessons learned and industry best practices

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IMO team, ensuring analysts are effectively equipped to perform operational analysis and reporting

Required Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree required

Other: Advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable

Required Years of Related Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within Operations, Supply Chain, or large transformation programs.

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of complex global Program Management leadership experience

  • Requires strong knowledge of Pharm Supply Chain or Commercial Operations

  • Demonstrated hands-on project management/delivery required

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, with proven ability to influence/collaborate to get to desired result

  • Requires people management and development experience

  • Requires Travel: up to 25% domestic and international
