About the Role

Pricing Specialist provides support and guidance to the business regarding strategic pricing priorities, to drive value-based pricing and to maximize the value of innovation and support for all the pricing related tasks.

You will be responsible for:

  • Pro-actively engage with Business partners, to provide support and guidance regarding strategic pricing priorities: to drive value-based pricing and to maximize the value of innovation
  • Support Pricing Lead for multi-factor pricing analysis to identify and monitor the trends, root cause of profitability leaks and/or price erosion and provide recommendations
  • Proactively collaborate with Commercial and Marketing Team for tender quotations, to ensure code configuration is set accurately for tenders.
  • Analyze tender quotation prices and profitability, review outcomes through win/loss reviews, pricing simulations, and debrief to build tender intelligence to increase success rate for future tenders.
  • Ensure local pricing governance and EMEA pricing governance guidelines are followed
  • Ensure continuity & accuracy & timeliness of monthly Pricing Reports & Business Reviews
  • Support business by seeking ways to drive better product mix to improve profitability
  • Drive price escalations as per guidelines and support the discussions by providing detailed price analysis considering key performance measures
  • Provide price change simulations during PL update process to optimize SGP through Price, Volume & Mix.
  • Support pricing trainings to upgrade skills of S&M team to influence price decision making process in line with strategic priorities, to enhance product value understanding, to support correct product positioning and segmentation in the market.
  • Continuously improve pricing reporting and analytics: create/maintain advanced pricing dashboards
  • Ensure Product database/ Price list is accurate and aligned with Regulatory inputs
  • Manage Cignon PL approvals in timely manner, ensuring prices are set within pricing guidelines
  • Lead/support key projects related to Pricing & Tenders wherever needed
  • Ensure Pricing SOPs are kept up to date
  • Ensure compliant pricing processes and SOX controls are in place and documented per requirements
  • Observes and promotes all regulatory requirements as defined per applicable regulations, rules and procedures established by the Company, and notifies any violation or deviation to the immediate supervisor or appropriate authority.
  • Complies with own training requirements to perform duties of own job.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • University/Bachelors Degree
  • Ideally degree in a business orientated subject (Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business)
  • Min 3-5 years related experience ideally in managing tenders in the region.
  • Proficiency in MS office specifically advanced MS Excel knowledge
  • Advanced in PBI report creation
  • SAP experience is an advantage
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including knowledge and understanding of pricing adn commercial strategies, compliance framework, experience in analysis and modeling.

  • Fluent in English (Arabic & French language a plus)

  • Proven ability to influence business partners with fact‐based data
  • Strong in framing and communicating issues and solutions, including presentations, interactions with business partners and teams, proactive in information sharing

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
