Johnson & Johnson's Surgical Robotics Supply Chain organization is recruiting a Plan Projects Lead! The role is a full-time, hybrid position located in Santa Clara, CA with an expectation of being in the office 3+ days per week. Irvine, CA may be considered.

The Plan Projects Lead is accountable for being the planning core team member for projects such as New Product Introduction (NPI), Life-cycle Management (LCM), and other programs. This role is responsible for ensuring appropriate component and finished goods supply planning, phase/in out planning, optimizing planning parameters and safety stock levels, and optimizing inventory levels for products impacted by projects in scope. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process including providing updates as needed in Supply Review, Management Business Review (MBR) and other IBP forums. The Plan Projects Lead works in close collaboration with R&D, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Plan Project Lead across multiple planning projects (e.g. New Product Introductions, Life-cycle Management) and programs, owning scope, schedule, risks, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment
  • Design and use in-depth analytical tools to support issue resolution, scenario planning, guide decision making, and execution oversight
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure end-to-end variant flow of assigned portfolio in planning system is set up and accurately maintained for Master Production Schedule (MPS) and/or component planning based on manufacturing readiness, regulatory approvals and/or other business assumptions
  • Provide Last time buy/build, SLOB (slow moving and obsolete), and phase in/out analyses reporting for assigned projects for smooth transition planning and execution
  • Maintain planning system parameters for projects such as phase in/phase out inventory management, safety stock transition, and other parameters as needed
  • RAD Regulatory Distribution Control System SME, helping with ensuring robust control in place for each country regulatory distribution status
  • Lead Windchill PLAN processes, acting as an expert for cross-system setup and flows for NPIs and new variants
  • Drive ECO CR/CN execution for Global Plan and manage and control Multivariant SOP forms and procedures in Windchill
  • Oversee ECO Parts Disposition for PLAN
  • Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for planning projects including Supply Review and Management Business Review (MBR) as needed
  • Able to analyze and identify large quantities of data to identify abnormalities, working with a high degree of accuracy and high attention to detail
  • Support other duties and projects assigned as needed

Education Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree required, degree in Supply chain or related field is preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Planning, Project Management
  • Minimum of 4 years of supply chain planning required especially supply, network, E2E, NPI
  • Experience with ERP systems including system-based MRP planning
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, etc)
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • High level of personal initiative and strong sense of urgency, and able to perform autonomously with limited supervision
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills with proven track record to influence leadership is required
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Consistent track record of challenging the “status-quo”, visualizing potential opportunities and implementing actions to build value.
  • Adaptable to meet constantly evolving priorities.

Preferred

  • SAP experience especially S4/Hana
  • Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ CSCP)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)
  • FPX/PMP training
  • Experience in healthcare / regulatory dependent sector
  • Capital equipment planning experience
  • Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications

  • Travel Requirements: This position may require up to 10% travel domestically and internationally if located in Santa Clara, CA or up to 25% travel domestically and internationally if based in an alternate location.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$109,000.00 - $174,800.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).



This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.



Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
