About the role

Johnson & Johnson develops and delivers innovative medicines to patients around the world, driven by a commitment to science, innovation and improving human health.

The Consumables team within the Deliver organization is looking for a Consumables Coordinator to support the European Distribution Hubs in Beerse and La Louvière. You will become part of a dedicated team that manages the end-to-end lifecycle of consumable items, from receipt and storage to internal distribution. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliable availability of critical consumables that support day-to-day distribution operations. You will act as the central link between suppliers, warehouse teams and internal stakeholders, helping to optimise inventory, costs, sustainability and service levels.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage supplier relationships, raise and process POs, confirm delivery schedules and proactively track estimated arrival times; accelerate late deliveries and resolve shortages or damage claims while tracking supplier performance.
  • Coordinate incoming shipments with warehouse teams, verify goods against POs, maintain accurate inventory records, forecast demand and perform reconciliations and cycle counts.
  • Manage replenishment between storage locations, including returns and transfers; set and review Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and safety stock levels, and optimise replenishment strategies.
  • Monitor consumables spend and evaluate opportunities for cost optimisation through standardisation, supplier collaboration and the identification of more sustainable alternatives.
  • Match and validate supplier invoices to POs and receipts, resolve discrepancies and support timely approvals and month‑end close.
  • Investigate quality incidents, lead corrective actions and maintain Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare KPI reports and ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements and sustainability commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects by analysing workflows, optimising logistics processes and implementing solutions that improve efficiency, service levels, sustainability and overall operational performance.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in supply chain, procurement or warehouse operations.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence across levels, from shop floor to senior management.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with consumables management.
  • Experience in sustainability initiatives.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies

Systems knowledge

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)
  • SAP ERP
  • Experience with Lynx, COMET and/or Quickbase is considered an asset
