Role Summary

We are looking for a BI Developer & Data Automation Leader to enable Emerging Markets teams to access, use, and act on trusted data through scalable business intelligence solutions, reporting automation, and data enablement.

This role combines hands-on BI development, data engineering, automation, and business partnering. The successful candidate will work closely with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Data Governance, and regional leadership teams to deliver reliable reporting, improve data accessibility, automate manual processes, and support data-driven decision-making across the region.

Key Responsibilities

The BI Developer & Data Automation Leader will be responsible for:

  • Design, build, maintain, and continuously improve Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, datasets, DAX measures, and Power Query solutions.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, workflows, and automation solutions using SQL, Oracle SQL, Alteryx, Python, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Integrate, transform, validate, and manage data from multiple sources, including SAP, JDE, Oracle, SharePoint, Azure, Databricks, and Excel-based datasets.
  • Build analytics-ready data models and reporting layers that support commercial, finance, supply chain, strategic account, and leadership reporting needs.
  • Optimize reporting solutions for performance, usability, refresh reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues, refresh failures, reporting discrepancies, access challenges, and automation errors.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis to ensure reporting outputs remain accurate, trusted, and business-ready.
  • Automate recurring reporting and business processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and increase reporting speed and accuracy.
  • Maintain and enhance business-critical Excel tools, templates, trackers, and reporting processes while driving the transition to more scalable solutions.
  • Enable governed self-service reporting through approved datasets, controlled data-access solutions, Power BI workspaces, and SharePoint repositories.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, translate business needs into practical solutions, and provide actionable insights that support decision-making.
  • Maintain strong governance, documentation, and reporting standards, including data definitions, KPI logic, ownership, refresh schedules, and change controls.

Key Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, BI development, reporting automation, data engineering, analytics, or data enablement roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, including dashboard development, semantic modelling, DAX, Power Query, dataset management, publishing, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL and Oracle SQL skills, including data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and workflow automation.
  • Strong experience with Alteryx and Python for data preparation, automation, validation, tool development, and process improvement.
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms and systems, including SAP, JDE, SharePoint, Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Strong data quality, troubleshooting, governance, and process-control mindset, including experience with validation, reconciliation, documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business recommendations.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in healthcare, MedTech, pharmaceutical, or another regulated commercial environment.
  • Experience supporting regional or multi-country organizations.
  • Experience working with Commercial Excellence, Sales Force Effectiveness, Finance, Supply Chain, or Strategic Accounts teams.
  • Experience managing enterprise reporting environments and governed self-service analytics.
  • Experience with APIs, enterprise system integrations, or structured change-management practices.
