We are searching for the best talent to join us at our Service Center at DePuy Synthes as a Logistics Associate in Amersfoort, Utrecht, Netherlands.

Purpose:

This role is crucial to ensuring the seamless and efficient flow of materials, products, and information within our organization. As a Logistics Associate, you will support logistics and supply chain operations to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining high-quality standards. Working closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and coordinating end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, transportation, distribution, and inventory processes
  • Collaborating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
  • Coordinating transportation activities, including route planning, shipping schedules, and delivery execution
  • Monitoring and tracking shipments, proactively addressing delays and logistics-related issues
  • Supporting inventory optimization initiatives to minimize stock shortages and excess inventory
  • Conducting inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity
  • Analyzing demand forecasts and adjusting inventory levels to support business requirements
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline logistics and supply chain operations
  • Partnering with production, sales, customer service, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient coordination across the business
  • Supporting teams in resolving logistics challenges and improving operational processes

Qualifications / Requirements:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and quality-focused team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and follows established procedures and work instructions with accuracy and consistency as well as:

  • Education - lower secondary education level (ISCED 2) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent education
  • Ideally previous experience in logistics and supply chain management preferred; a logistics or warehouse background with experience handling shipping and logistics documentation
  • Familiarity with logistics software, inventory management tools, and supply chain systems including working with carrier platforms such as DHL or similar logistics systems, would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions; high attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in inventory management and logistics coordination
  • Fluent English (including written/email communication), excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions; strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with external partners and suppliers
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing changing priorities; adaptability and willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives and innovative logistics solutions

Separation notice:

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€34.200,00 - €50.600,00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
