Job Description

As a key member of the APAC Heart Recovery Commercial Finance team, this role serves as the regional FP&A analyst covering the full APAC region, including both Japan and Rest of APAC (ROA) markets. Reporting to the APAC Finance Director, the Senior Finance Analyst consolidates regional performance, planning, and forecasting across all APAC markets and drives regional-level topics — such as optimal resource allocation, investment prioritization, and performance improvement — to accelerate business growth. The role delivers high-quality management reporting and insight to APAC and Global leadership, identifies risks and opportunities at a regional level, and partners with country finance teams, APAC/Global stakeholders, and the Shared Service Center to ensure accurate and timely financial closing and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate APAC regional performance across Japan and Rest of APAC markets, delivering a single, reliable regional view of actuals, forecast, and plan for APAC and Global leadership.
  • Drive regional-level topics that support business growth — including optimal resource allocation, investment prioritization, headcount and OPEX productivity, and cross-market performance improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the regional consolidation and coordination of the annual budget, forecast, and long-range plan across all APAC markets, ensuring assumptions, resource plans, and investment priorities are consistent and aligned with regional strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver value-added management reporting and business review materials for APAC and Global leadership, covering sales, gross profit, OPEX, headcount, and monthly P&L performance with key drivers and actionable commentary.
  • Identify and track risks and opportunities at both country and regional level; proactively recommend mitigation actions, trade-offs, and reallocation of resources to protect and grow regional results.
  • Support business cases, ROI analysis, pricing and commercial strategy discussions, and new market or therapy expansion initiatives as the Heart Recovery business scales across APAC.
  • Partner with commercial leaders, country finance teams, Marketing, Sales, and other functions across APAC to support business decision-making through financial insights, scenario analyses, and clear recommendations.
  • Collaborate with country finance teams, the Shared Service Center, and relevant stakeholders to execute accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end close across APAC, ensuring appropriate documentation and compliance with company policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of APAC planning, reporting, and forecasting processes through automation and improved visibility, enhancing quality, speed, and transparency.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with country, regional, and global finance stakeholders; respond quickly and accurately to ad-hoc requests and support regional governance and decision forums as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is a plus.
  • Business-level proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively across APAC country teams (Japan and Rest of APAC) and regional/global stakeholders; additional APAC language capability is a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business controlling, or finance business partnering, ideally in healthcare, medical devices, or a multinational matrix environment.
  • Strong FP&A skills in budgeting, forecasting, multi-country consolidation, performance management, and driver-based analysis, with the ability to translate financial data into clear executive-level business insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP and reporting tools; experience with SAP, Power BI, Anaplan, or other planning/reporting platforms is preferred.
  • Able to manage multiple markets, stakeholders, and deadlines in a matrix organization across APAC; hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with country teams, Shared Service Centers, and regional/global finance teams.
  • Demonstrated learning agility, ownership mindset, and ability to operate in a scaling business environment with evolving priorities and increasing complexity.
