Leads the commercial business s of Cataract and Refractive businesses in the Malaysia and Brunei. Defines the organization’s commercial business plan and ensures that annual operating plan and objectives are achieved.
Establishes comprehensive business strategies and oversees all tactics required to achieve them. Ensure inventory levels is aligned with In-Market Sales and provide accurate monthly forecast timely.
Anticipates market trends and implements the necessary changes to meet customer needs. Assesses market data, determines, and prioritizes potential market growth opportunities. Implements and sustains business processes that ensure efficient execution of key business initiatives.
Leads, inspires and coach the commercial team and operates in a legal and ethical manner ensuring that products and services are marketed in accordance with compliance requirements. Builds and maintains relationships with our distributors and decision-makers in the local health care system, government agencies, regulatory bodies, key opinion leaders and community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team. Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that optimizes salesforce and territory alignment to achieve product mix premiumization and market share gain.
Main areas of responsibility
Setting business direction and leverage local opportunities.
Establishing and implementing a clear Business Plan to secure business continuity, balancing with short term commitments.
Manages a multi brand strategy in both Cataract & Refractive.
Leading business excellence initiatives, developing a high performance organization.
Support and implement Marketing Initiatives aligned with Regional team.
Build local KOL pipeline and support KOL engagement plan aligned to SEA & APJ plan.
Maintain IOL leadership position in Malaysia and Brunei.
Lead distributor management and ensure product distribution, consignment management, inventory level and distributor margin meet all KPIs.
Execution and follow through on business strategies.
Managing the right resource allocation decisions.
Remaining compliant in an ever-changing and complex regulatory environment.
Managing by influence to get high quality services.
Acquiring, developing, inspiring, encouraging and retaining top talent for the organization.
Engaging and motivating cross-functional employees in business strategies and direction.
Creating a culture of innovation, risk, and high accountability; managing change.
Managing price and reimbursement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum education required for competent performance:
Diploma or Degree in Science, Bio-Science, Health-Science or Pharmacy, Master in Business Administration is preferred
At least 5 up to 10 years’ working experience in healthcare or ophthalmology industry.
At least 3 years in leadership role managing a team
Working experience with distributors
Excellent understanding of regulatory, QA and legal/policies/ environment relating to the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
Established network with relevant government agencies, key opinion leaders, Retail / Trade and Industry Associations and the respective Public Health Authorities
Preferably with experience from diagnostics/device products with consumables sales
