Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Designer, Automation Acceleration, located in Bangalore, India.

The Designer, Automation Acceleration plays a key role in enhancing HR operations by designing and supporting automation solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience. This role partners with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate HR process requirements into scalable automation workflows and tools. It offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to digital transformation initiatives, streamline operations, and deliver impactful improvements across global HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead process discovery, requirements gathering, and future-state design activities across HR processes

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and enhance employee and manager experiences

  • Translate business needs into scalable automation requirements, user stories, process maps, and solution designs

  • Partner with HR stakeholders to assess automation opportunities and prioritize initiatives based on business value, effort, and impact

  • Design end-to-end workflows and user journeys that improve operational efficiency and service delivery

  • Collaborate with automation engineers and technical teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions

  • Support solution testing, user acceptance activities, and deployment readiness

  • Analyze process performance and recommend continuous improvement opportunities using data and customer feedback

  • Document business requirements, process designs, governance standards, and best practices

  • Contribute to HR digital transformation initiatives, including automation, AI-enabled solutions, and employee experience improvements

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Human Resources, or a related field required

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Technology or HR) preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in automation, process design, HR systems, or digital transformation roles

  • Good understanding of automation tools (e.g., RPA, workflow platforms, scripting)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical or process designs

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy

  • Experience supporting global or cross-functional teams

  • Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

  • Ability to work under close supervision and manage multiple tasks or projects

  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and process design skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with HR systems or HR shared services environments

  • Familiarity with process mapping and improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)

  • Exposure to data analysis, reporting, or dashboard tools

  • Knowledge of system integration concepts or APIs

  • Understanding of digital transformation or automation strategies

  • Familiarity with documentation and workflow design tools

  • Experience with HR Digital Transformation, Employee Experience, or Shared Services organizations

  • Familiarity with automation and workflow platforms such as ServiceNow, Power Platform, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or similar technologies

  • Exposure to AI-enabled solutions, digital assistants, or intelligent workflow design

Other:

  • Language: Proficiency in English required

  • Travel: Minimal travel required

  • Certifications: RPA, automation, or process improvement certifications preferred
