The Opportunity

Lead the development and execution of health economics, reimbursement and market access strategies to secure and optimise patient access to Johnson & Johnson's ANZ Electrophysiology MedTech technologies, while supporting sustainable business growth across Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop integrated Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) strategies for Australia and New Zealand for Johnson & Johnson Medtech
  • Develop and execute health economic and market access strategies, including reimbursement submissions and funding applications.
  • Contribute to business planning, portfolio prioritisation and launch readiness activities through the provision of market access, reimbursement and health economic insights.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with government, payer, provider, industry and clinical stakeholders to support reimbursement and market access objectives.
  • Provide strategic advice to business leaders on changes to reimbursement frameworks, funding mechanisms and government policy that may impact patient access or commercial objectives.
  • Lead assessment of market access risks and opportunities for new product launches, indications and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with commercial, medical, regulatory, government affairs and global HEMA teams to deliver market access objectives.
  • Act as a key external representative for Johnson & Johnson MedTech in engagements with government agencies, industry associations, clinical experts and healthcare stakeholders.

About You

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, health economics, public health, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in health economics, reimbursement, market access or health technology assessment within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consulting or related healthcare sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience leading reimbursement submissions through Prescribed List, MSAC, PBAC, PHARMAC or equivalent funding pathways.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with government, industry associations, healthcare providers and other external stakeholders to influence market access and reimbursement outcomes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Australian & New Zealand Health Care System
  • Submission writing and HTA negotiation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders in complex matrix environments.

  • Understanding of global commercial environment
  • Experience in a matrix organisational structure
  • Familiar with systematic literature reviews
  • Project management experience
  • Up-to-date with local & international HTA, reimbursement and pricing policy issues
