Job Responsibilities

  • Own the annual business plan and turn it into clear goals your team can implement.
  • Drive the Malaysia & Brunei strategy to grow market share and category performance.
  • Lead and coach a team of 7 direct reports.
  • Run sales & marketing execution on the ground from strategy to results.
  • Manage distributor performance and elevate go-to-market execution in selected markets.
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts and healthcare professionals, including business reviews.
  • Partner closely with Commercial/Marketing to shape campaigns, pricing, sales processes, and promotions.
  • Keep everything compliant (healthcare rules, ethical selling) while delivering strong growth.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with government agencies and statutory bodies, including SOCSO, JPA, and pension-related institutions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
  • 8–10 years in medical device sales (preferably Orthopedics background).
  • Proven record of hitting targets and growing a territory/category.
  • Strong business development skills (opening doors, building pipelines, expanding accounts).
  • Confident leading people you’ve managed/coached a team and enjoy developing talent.
  • Comfortable influencing cross-functionally (Sales, Marketing, Commercial, distributors, leadership).
  • Strong communication skills you can present, negotiate, and build trust with senior partners.
  • Able to travel as needed across Malaysia + Brunei.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
