Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting a Night Shift, Manufacturing Supervisor (6pm-6AM, continuous operations) to join its dynamic team located in Jacksonville, Florida.

This Position provides leadership and supervision to the department shifts for production performance regarding safety, quality, cost and conformance to schedule.

Primary responsibilities include supervising, developing, and providing direction to assigned manufacturing staff, and technical and leadership support to the Manufacturing Manager.

Supervises the adherence to safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises individual contributors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management in the Optical Tooling and Mold Servicing operations.
  • Coordinates actions to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems
  • Performs area Gemba walks. to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory policies & procedures.
  • Facilitates basic goals, objectives, and supply chain roadmaps for Plant Management platforms, helping align Supply Chain business and technology strategies with strategic demand to produce leading-edge deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Safety, Quality, Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, and Facilities to ensure fit and support of business objectives.
  • Owns Platform audit and compliance readiness, including facilities work orders.
  • Conducts performance reviews and provides feedback, including disciplinary actions as the need arises
  • Ensures training curriculums are up to date/maintained by platform needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate requirements, needs, and changes to both associates and management.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners to achieve goals.
  • Responsible for managing production personnel to improve quality and output in a manufacturing operation.
  • Establishes personnel schedules and product lines based on business needs.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Vocational/Technical certificate is required or equivalent experience.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 2-4 years manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years front line supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lead in an empowered team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a rotating 12 hour shifts, 6pm to 6am, including weekends, on a regular basis required

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of relevant supply chain work experience.
  • 4+ years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with International Standards Organization (ISO), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) supervised environment.
  • Knowledge of time keeping
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
