We are searching for the best talent for Sterilization Technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Works under minimal supervision.

  • Supports the training process as a subject matter expert and team member, as applicable.

  • Displays team empowerment and motivates other team members in their ability and willingness to develop and initiate change.

  • Demonstrates leadership to wage associates.

  • Recognizes and recommends improvement initiatives or corrective actions related to process, quality, and/or safety issues.

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, including clear and concise verbal and written communication required to effectively communicate work requirements, passions, and ideas.

  • Is trained on all documents related to the sterilization process, as assigned through Compliance Wire.

  • Ensures that specified parameters are met during the sterilization process.

  • Recognizes abnormal operating conditions involving the sterilization process and implements appropriate responses, including notification of the facilitator or process engineers.

  • Operates sterilization equipment and computer systems and demonstrates knowledge of their operation.

  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and the intent of the Company Credo.

  • Complies with established safety procedures and policies with the intent of maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Supports ISO 14000 recertification efforts.

  • Keeps the work area clean and orderly.

  • Operates equipment to meet objectives detailed in standard operating procedures and process specifications.

  • Coordinates process operations and material movement from other departments and throughout the sterilization area, with an emphasis on meeting customer demands.

  • Actively communicates with the Microbiology Department and/or QA Sterilization regarding product integrity and product sterility.

  • Is accountable for the review of run records and the ambient and dry-storage requirements of absorbable sutures and devices.

  • Maintains production documentation, including logbooks, stamping run records, and records associated with the materials or devices being sterilized. Demonstrates knowledge of JDE, LIMS, and SCADA.

  • Supports, understands, and adheres to continuous improvement principles and practices by identifying, evaluating, and resolving problems. Focuses on continuous improvement, quality, improved cycle times, safety, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.

  • Completes training programs and certifications as required.

  • Cross-trains to support other functional areas.

  • Supports the Plant Diversity Process.

  • Complies with all applicable quality management systems and environmental, safety, and occupational health policies (for example, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001).

  • Is responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.

  • For those who supervise or manage staff, is responsible for ensuring that team members follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.

  • Is responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all federal, state, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience.

  • Completion of training as required by the Compliance Wire curriculum.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good computer skills.
