Johnson & Johnson Global Services (GS) Finance is recruiting for a Manager to support the Global Services delivery model for J&J Holding Co and Product Liability. This position is based in Bogota, Colombia.

The Manager is responsible for Controllership services for Talc, Product Liability and other Holding Co. activities supporting 1 VP. The role is highly visible as the Manager is the lead authority overseeing the actuals including the full accounting of transactions, cash management, vendor communications and financial business reviews.

Role & Responsibilities:


  • Legal vendor and cash management — Oversee communications with ~50 legal vendors covering payment requests, accrual estimates, and tax information; review and approve disbursements and assess funding requests, including special and ad hoc processes.
  • Financial consolidation and reporting — Review and approve the monthly manual accounting tracking file and consolidate and present financials for business unit finance and Consolidations approval, coordinating Treasury and Tax confirmations.
  • Reconciliations and journal entries — Approve ~60 quarterly balance sheet reconciliations plus ~25 monthly entries, post monthly ledger and equity clearing entries, and oversee intercompany approvals with Legal HQ.
  • Charge-out processing for Product Liability — Review and approve process spillover, specific product, and Talc charge-outs and related accruals for ~16 Intercompany relationships.
  • Audit, tax, and transformation support — Prepare pre-tax P&Ls, approve Actuals submissions in BRAVO, comply with various SOX controls processes (e.g., BVA-02, BS-75 Questionnaire, FR-02, FR-04), and partner with PwC, GAA, Corporate Consolidations and Compliance to satisfy audit requests and strengthen compliance. Other processes in scope are hedging, the annual dividend process, year-end tax filings and SigniFi and any other Technological Transformation initiatives, managing change and shaping processes.

Qualifications


  • Fluent in English
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably a major in Accounting or Finance or another related field is required.
  • An advanced degrees or certifications such as MBA, CPA or CMA etc. is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of finance or related business experience is required.
  • Prior managerial / supervisory experience is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Lynx, CFIN, AFO and Bravo are preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, influence decision making, think creatively, challenge the status quo, and work across multiple teams, including strong stakeholder management in a multicultural environment
  • Individual must work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with all levels of the organization and be able to recommend and implement process improvements is required.
  • Ability to take on leadership roles in various initiatives and effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
  • Experience in Pharma companies is a plus.

This position is based in Bogota, Colombia and may require up to 10% travel.
