Purpose:


Drive the growth of the Orthopaedics business by developing strategic relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, supporting product adoption, and managing the sales pipeline while serving as a clinical and product expert within the assigned territory.


You will be responsible for:


  • Helps establish and implement programs and innovative initiatives for the Clinical Sales - Surgeons area, under general supervision.
  • Contributes to components of projects, programs, or processes for the Clinical Sales - Surgeons area.
  • Identfies opportunities to integrate methods based on analyses of trends and the competitive landscape to continually improve the organization's Clinical Sales - Surgeons strategy.
  • Communicates information throughout the clinical sales area to ensure employees stay well-informed on product knowledge, launches, policies, and guidelines.
  • Documents and maintains customer account information and sets up reporting to monitor sales pipeline.
  • Proactively drives data-driven account and HCP targeting and opportunity identification using available analytics tools; and track progress against pipeline.
  • Expands and maintains a broad knowledge base to become the Product Expert within assigned geography.
  • Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes and responsibilities.​
  • Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
    Job is eligible for sales incentive / sales commissions.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree completed in Business Administration, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields within the healthcare/hospital environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in applications support and/or capital equipment sales.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • U.S. visa preferred.
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • English proficiency at an intermediate level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to execute and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Experience negotiating with non-clinical stakeholders (Procurement Managers, Bioengineering teams, Hospital Administrators, and other decision-makers) is preferred.
  • Relationship management skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and maintain strong long-term relationships.
  • Hunter mindset with the ability to identify new business opportunities, secure initial meetings with prospective clients, continuously generate leads, and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to understand short- and long-term franchise strategies and translate them into effective field actions.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.
