Purpose of the role

To clinically promote J&J Haematology medicines ensuring optimised appropriate patient access.

Your primary role as a Therapy Area Specialist (TAS) will be to lead the business plan for implementation within NHS Trusts and other defined local accounts as agreed with Business Leaders. In Hospital Trusts and other agreed systems, you will deliver specific tactics to support appropriate local uptake of medicines in agreement with your cross functional team, including the clinical promotion specific licensed medicines.

This role will be reporting to a National Sales Manager within the Haematology Department.

You will be responsible for:

· Develop and implement strategic account plans for targeted customers in the defined Haematology therapy area. Within Account Plans, lead sales tactics to deliver the plan, complementing the wider cross functional team approach Collaborate with both internal and external cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive strategy implementation.

· Build and maintain positive relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL’s), and healthcare professionals in the defined Haematology field.

· Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives for assigned accounts.

· Conduct product presentations and therapeutic area discussions to healthcare providers, ensuring accurate and up-to date information is conveyed.

· Development of local advocates who are both willing to put thoughts into action and share their experiences to the wider HCP community at Local / Regional / National level

· Provide exceptional customer service and support to healthcare professionals in handling product inquires.

· Analyse market trends, competitor activities and customer need to identify opportunities for growth.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and performance metrics in the CRM system.

· Maintains ‘expert’ level of therapy knowledge, product, competitor scientific & business knowledge.

Who are we looking for?

  • To excel in this role, you will be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual who excels in both independent and collaborative team environments.
  • It is highly preferred that you have previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • ABPI qualified
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulations, compliance, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage collaborators.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet client needs and attend industry events.
