The program

A prescriptive two-year development journey designed to accelerate your growth, Johnson & Johnson’s HRLDP develops experienced professionals into HR leaders by providing differentiated opportunities for exposure, engagement and development. We have two tracks within our HRLDP, both providing a strong foundation to foster the innovation and growth needed to accelerate your development. We look for both undergrad and graduate students with previous experiences in HR or HR-related fields. Our ideal candidates have strategic mindsets, together with the ability to engage, lead and drive results across our global enterprise. They have learning curiosity, agility and resiliency—and the courage to meet the HR challenges of tomorrow.

Tailored Training And Mentorship

Experienced track

Ideal candidate:

  • Graduate student completing MBA, master’s degree or Ph.D. with a focus in HR Management, Industrial-Organizational psychology, or any HR- or business-related discipline
  • Five-plus years of prior full-time professional work experience is required (“full time” is defined as working 40 hours or more weekly on a continuous basis)
  • Previous HR experience is preferred
  • Geographically mobile for rotations and final placement in the full-time program
  • Fluency in English is required, as well as fluency in the language of the country where the assignment is located (fluency in a second language preferred)
  • Legal authorization to work in the country where the role is located

Our recruitment and selection process

Recruitment for both our full-time and summer internship opportunities runs annually from August to March. Those who participate in our HRLDP summer internship program and perform strongly will be considered for a full-time position as part of the HRLDP after completion of their degree.

Assessment & selection

The final stage! Selected candidates will be invited to an initial business interview and then potentially a second and final business interview. During these conversations, you will connect directly with our HR Leaders and can ask questions about the program. If selected, we will reach out to make an offer and share more information.
