We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Director, Strategic Capacity Planning & Transfer Management! This hybrid position will be located in Titusville, New Jersey (USA), Horsham, PA (USA), Beerse, Belgium or Zug, Switzerland.

The Senior Director, Strategic Capacity Planning & Transfer Management, is responsible for leading the Strategic Capacity Management Process, as well as the Supply Chain Transfer Management activities resulting from JSC’s sourcing strategy.

This function works closely with various partners and must have the experience required to influence people at different levels of the organization (Internal Manufacturing, External Manufacturing, Network Strategy, Value Chain Management, Global Commercial Strategy Organization, Finance, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide E2E capacity visibility and transparency over the 3 to 15 year horizon including both the internal and external manufacturing network.

  • Provide strategic insights and shape recommendations with key stakeholders to optimize the manufacturing network asset utilization, guaranteeing long term product availability to our patients while optimizing cash flow impact from inventory, SLOB, contractual commitments.

  • Partner with Development / Clinical Supply and Value Chain to develop a view on the early development pipeline and assess the impact on future (existing and new) technology requirements.

  • Designing and deploying adequate planning processes to ensure timely product availability when preparing and implementing product transfers.

  • Provides strategic leadership by role-modeling the use of data and insights to enable fact‑based trade‑off decisions

  • Lead, coach, and mentor teams using Continuous Improvement methodologies to enhance and evolve capacity management and processes

  • Drive digitalization of E2E supply chain processes, including System implementation, control towers, etc.

  • Ensure that best-in-class standardized and harmonized sourcing processes and tools are designed and deployed to guarantee optimal product sourcing, focusing on both internal as well as external manufacturing.

  • Liaise with Value Chain, Demand Planning, and Global and Regional Commercial organizations to shape improvements in long term forecasting accuracy, and to improve the speed with which new insights are incorporated into decision-making processes

  • Explore next-generation capacity modeling capabilities inclusive of digital twin, advanced statistical forecasting approaches (e.g. Monte Carlo), etc. undefined

Qualifications:

Required

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s/University or equivalent degree is required; Master’s or MBA Master’s degree in a related field - engineering, logistics, supply chain, computing, finance, or economics is preferred.

  • Experience: Must possess a minimum of 15 years of proven experience. Supply Chain Experience, preferable in in a logistics, planning and/or manufacturing environment, within the Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Biologics or closely related industry.

  • Strong business insights to understand how decisions impact different parts of our supply chain.

  • Advanced critical thinking and analytical skills are required, as are the abilities to master complexity and to integrate insights into strategies

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels.

  • Clear track record of successfully managing multiple priorities; and working independently while demonstrating initiative

  • Deep knowledge of supply chains / global value chains.

  • History of inspiring and motivating people in often challenging circumstances.

  • Defined examples of attracting and developing talent.

Other:

  • Requires proficiency in English (excellent written and verbal communication skills) to communicate effectively and professionally

  • Up to 15% domestic and international travel may be required

  • Requires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option for two remote workdays each week

The below list of compensaiton expectations and benefits will be adjusted according to market differences e.g. BE & CH.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $173,000 to $299,000.

Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
