We are searching for the best talent for Financial Analyst Co-Op to be in Toronto or Markham, Ontario, Canada
- The Co-op term is from August 2026 to April, 2027.
- Full time requirement (37.5 hours per week).
Purpose:
Major responsibilities:
- Tender (RFP), proposal and pricing scenario building and profitability analysis
- Drive value and capabilities for our customer proposals beyond price
- Partnering with Marketing and contracts organization to create pricing segmentation/ladders to facilitate strategic growth and gross profit improvements.
- Prepare monthly reporting, analysis of budget vs. actual results, including identification of risks and offsets vs. budget for Supply Chain Finance team in compliance with J&J Worldwide policies.
- Ensure proper financial accounting for sales, marketing and functional department related expenses, including completion of account reconciliations. Ensure adherence to SOx controls
- Educate business partners on key finance areas as needed (such as Purchase Orders, cost elements to use, brand Profit & Loss statements, etc).
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Majoring in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or related fields.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
- In final three years of a Bachelor degree in a intern program
- Demonstrate leadership skills and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Possess strong Microsoft computer and Excel skills including financial modeling; SAP experience a huge plus.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to learn about new technological solutions for financial reporting and accounting and able to lead projects to implement insights that can result in process efficiencies.
- Demonstrate strong time-management skills and are able to multi-task effectively.
- Dynamic teammate who is resourceful and inventive.
- Ability to present complex information and analysis in a concise manner
- Be an effective communicator, with strong presentation and influencing skills.
- Possess excellent analytical skills with proven drive and a willingness to take ownership for tasks and responsibilities.
We are seeking results and performance driven individuals that have demonstrated the ability to lead. The ideal candidate has high energy and passion, is innovative, adaptive, customer-focused and eager to learn. You should have good interpersonal and influencing skills and strong analytical, oral and written communication skills. You must have the ability to deal with multiple projects and priorities, in a dynamic and team oriented environment. Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry would be definite assets.
The base pay for this position is Second Year $22.00/hr, Third Year $23.50/hr, Fourth Year $24.50/hr, Master’s degree $27.00/hr.
