Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM) is currently recruiting for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Health Economics Modeling, located in Beerse, Belgium. The duration of the Postdoctoral Fellow program is 3 years. We are seeking a highly motivated, conscientious and diligent scientist, who is flexible, dynamic, and able to work with autonomy to drive their individual project forward while also contributing to the group as an integral team member.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will receive comprehensive trainings on conducting health economic research and developing economic models by our internal experts. In addition, he/she will work with members from the global health economic modeling team and other market access teams to

  • Conduct literature reviews related to clinical studies, health-related quality of life (HRQoL) studies, cost analyses, health technology assessments, economic evaluations, and other health economic analyses.
  • Design and develop health economic models to conduct cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses in different therapeutic areas using Microsoft Excel with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
  • Perform post-hoc trial data analyses (e.g., descriptive statistics, survival analysis and regression analyses) to provide data input into the economic models
  • Draft technical reports, abstracts and manuscripts


Qualifications and Competencies

  • Recent or expected Doctorate Degree (e.g., Ph.D.) in Economics/Health Economics, Statistics/Biostatistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Operations Research or other relevant program with strong quantitative trainings
  • Proven scientific problem-solving skills and excellent understanding of statistics or econometrics
  • Strong computer (Microsoft Excel with VBA, RStudio & Shiny package) and data analytic skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work well in collaborative, cross-functional teams and interest in the international context of healthcare systems and technology assessment
  • Self-motivation, independence, creativity, and critical thinking to challenge ideas
  • Strong alignment with ethical principles in Our Credo and a desire to be vital within a company where people care about patients and want to make a difference in global healthcare

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€63.300,00 - €97.635,00
