We are searching for the best talent for Operations Shift Lead to be in Leiden.

Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to serve as a support individual contributor, executing tasks that are typically not routine by guiding others. It provides support for executive leaders within the Operations unit and guides other team members to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables, while maintaining high standards of professionalism, efficiency, personal communication, discretion, and independent judgment.

As an Operations Shift Lead, you will:

  • Demonstrate Johnson & Johnson’s Leadership Imperatives and Credo.

  • Be required to understand and comply with the Code of Business Conduct, Company policies and laws that govern their activities.

  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Act as a building captain and lead the emergency response team within the entire Operations unit.

  • Develop advanced knowledge of standard operating procedures and Good

  • Be responsible for Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure activities adhere to internal and external regulations and procedures.

  • Coordinate prioritization related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical (new) products.

  • Help coordinate tasks for the support function of the Operations unit, and support teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.

  • Lead monitoring of day-to-day operational planning and resources and communicate with leaders regarding resource needs and progress to maximize successful business results.

  • Within the Operations unit, act as the first point of escalation.

  • Enhance collaboration between departments and external partners.

  • Lead the identification and implementation of improvement opportunities within Operations.

  • Conduct daily Gemba walks, spot-checks, and remove roadblocks for streamlined operations.

  • Be guardian of standardized visual management across Operations.

  • Take ownership of personal training and ensure that all required training is understood and completed on time.

  • Perform more complex trend analysis to support continuous improvement efforts for the organization's Operations unit.

  • Improve safety, quality, reliability, cost, and scheduling by recommending process improvements and developing strong knowledge of process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures.

  • Enhance a culture of belonging through trusting, divers, & inclusive relationships.

  • Be responsible for the additional tasks and job duties of the position that are not required daily:

    • Generating performance indicators using data.

    • Coordinate the first steps when multiple departments in the Operations unit are affected by a Non-Conformance.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A relevant HBO degree with at least 3 years' relevant experience or a nonrelevant HBO degree with at least 5 years' relevant experience.

  • Dutch A2 and English B2 language levels are required.

  • The levels of computer proficiency are intermediate level for MS office, specialist level for data analysis, and specialist level for business applications.

  • Identifies and encourages opportunities for improvement.

  • Capable of providing guidance and direction to a group of employees.

  • Lead by example in maintaining calmness and composure during challenging situations.

  • Demonstrate effective change leadership.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Analytical thinking: ability and dealing with complexity, asking questions, using data and information.

  • Ability to work on a shift roster.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€53,500.00 - €85,445.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
