Job Description:

We are recruiting for the best talent for the Senior Finance Director, Supply Chain Operations - Orthopedics role located in Raynham, MA.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

The Senior Finance Director, Supply Chain Operations plays a critical leadership role in shaping and optimizing the financial performance of DePuy Synthes supply chain operations and related enterprise functions. This role provides financial leadership across Supply Chain financial systems processes, direct and indirect procurement, Quality and Regulatory, Global EH&S, E&PS, Security, and designated financial accounting groups. As a senior leader, the individual will partner closely with Supply Chain Systems leadership, IT, FS&T, the DePuy Synthes Chief Procurement Officer, and senior functional leaders to drive strategic planning, financial governance, performance insights, and operational execution aligned with long-term business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, planning, and governance for Supply Chain Operations and related enterprise functions, ensuring alignment with DePuy Synthes business objectives and long-term strategy.
• Own Supply Chain financial systems processes, partnering closely with Supply Chain Systems leadership, IT, and FS&T to drive process standardization, data integrity, and effective system-enabled decision-making.
• Provide direct financial leadership and support to the DePuy Synthes Chief Procurement Officer across direct and indirect procurement, including budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and performance reporting.
• Lead finance support for the Quality and Regulatory organization, serving as a strategic partner to the DePuy Synthes Head of Quality and Regulatory and enabling investment decisions, financial discipline, and operational accountability.
• Provide financial leadership for Global EH&S, E&PS, and Security, directly supporting the senior leader accountable for these functions and ensuring strong financial governance across priorities, resources, and initiatives.
• Oversee designated financial accounting groups and related governance responsibilities, ensuring effective controls, compliance, and transparency in a regulated environment.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across supply chain systems, procurement, quality, regulatory, facilities, security, and related functional areas.
• Lead and influence long-term financial strategies, including scenario planning, investment prioritization, productivity initiatives, and resource allocation across supported functions.
• Partner with senior supply chain, procurement, Quality and Regulatory, EH&S, E&PS, Security, IT, and FS&T leaders to drive data-based decision-making and operational excellence.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and purpose-driven culture.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, delivering insights that improve cost management, service levels, governance, and overall functional effectiveness.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field (required).

  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred).

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 10-12 years of experience in finance, with demonstrated leadership in supply chain, procurement, operations finance, manufacturing finance, financial systems, or related functional finance areas.

  • Strong financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skills, including cost, productivity, investment, and functional performance analysis.

  • Experience leading teams and developing finance talent.

  • Deep understanding of financial controls, compliance, governance, and accounting processes in a regulated environment.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting global or regional supply chain, procurement, quality, regulatory, EH&S, facilities, security, or manufacturing organizations within medical devices, life sciences, or a similarly regulated environment.

  • Demonstrated success driving productivity, cost transformation, or working capital initiatives.

  • Experience with ERP, financial planning, and supply chain financial systems in a complex operating environment.

  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decision‑making in a matrixed organization.

  • Change leadership experience supporting business, finance, process, or system transformations across matrixed functions.

Other:

  • Language requirements: English (required).

  • Travel: Up to 20%, primarily domestic with potential international travel.

  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, or equivalent (preferred).

  • Valid driver’s license if required for business travel.

– The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

▪ Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

– Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year

– Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

–Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

– Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

–Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

– Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

– Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period 10 days

– Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

– Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
