We are searching for the best talent for the Weigh and Dispense Shift Team Lead position to be in Cork, Ireland.

As a W&D Shift Team Lead, you will be:

  • Prioritizing and scheduling activities to support business needs and to meet requirements of Master Production Schedule.
  • Overseeing all activities in compliance with corporate and cGMP/EHS regulatory requirements and ensuring any associated deviations are completed in a timely manner.
  • Facilitating of root cause problem solving sessions to correct and prevent reoccurrence of issues.
  • Reviewing of documentation in compliance with site procedures and GDP.
  • Maintaining and calibrating of Weigh & Dispense equipment, support commissioning & qualification activities, and assist with generation, review and revision of documentation.
  • Developing systems to monitor quality and efficiency of area activities, and implementing continuous improvement strategies
  • Providing a forum for training and ensure teams compliance with company standards
  • Participating in regulatory audits and ensure audit readiness at all times
  • Support multiple capacity improvement projects with respect to optimizing pack sizes and packaging requirements around weighed preps for manufacturing operations
  • Support weigh and dispense team members in multiple small optimization projects to improve work practices in the suite.
  • Ensuring effective implementation of BEX projects, Kaizen, 5S, Lean.
  • Deputize for Operations manager as necessary.

As a W&D Shift Team Lead, your typical day may include:

General Activities

  • Liaising with schedulers from multiple business units to formalize day schedule for weigh and dispense operations
  • Working assigned shift or day patterns to meet business needs and operations schedule.
  • Coordination of operations team to meet production schedule in a safe, compliant and cost-effective manner.
  • Area owner, responsible for management of equipment and facility.
  • Completion of pulse walkdowns to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements particularly in relation to the pharmaceutical industry, health and safety requirements and environmental legislation and cGMP requirements.
  • Troubleshooting of process issues and escalating/collaborating with relevant support to resolve in a timely and effective manner.
  • Review and approval of completed batch records.
  • Support of Project and Commissioning/ Qualification activities as required.

Weigh and Dispense Areas:

  • Two weigh and dispense ISO8 areas incorporating four weigh booths and one acid dispensing booth to support BU3 & BU4 commercial activities

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in science, engineering or related discipline.
  • Operations experience within a GMP regulated environment
  • Demonstration of leadership or supervisory capabilities in similar roles
  • Operations experience within a Life Sciences or Biopharmaceutical environment.
  • Understanding of the requirements of cGMP and familiarity with other relevant regulatory requirements.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€52,400.00 - €82,915.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
