Position Summary

The Associate Director of ASC Market Development will play a critical role in accelerating Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s leadership within the rapidly evolving Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) landscape for electrophysiology (EP). This individual will be responsible for developing and expanding strategic relationships across ASC-focused stakeholders including Management Services Organizations (MSOs), Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), and emerging ASC ownership groups.

The role will focus on driving market development initiatives that expand access to patient care. This leader will work cross-functionally with the ASC Director to execute national growth strategies while partnering closely with the commercial sales organization to expand CARTO™ system placements, procedural growth, and long-term strategic account development.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Market Development

  • Develop and execute regional ASC market development strategies aligned with national business objectives.
  • Identify, prioritize, and cultivate strategic relationships with key ASC stakeholders, including MSOs, IDNs, ASC operators, physician ownership groups, and ASC-focused GPOs.
  • Drive adoption and expansion of the CARTO™ Mapping System and Biosense Webster EP portfolio within targeted ASC markets.
  • Support development of scalable ASC commercialization models that improve procedural access, operational efficiency, and long-term account growth.
  • Assess market dynamics, competitive trends, reimbursement changes, and emerging ASC opportunities to inform strategic planning.

Commercial Partnership & Execution

  • Partner closely with Area Vice Presidents, Regional Business Directors, Account Managers, and Clinical Specialists to identify and convert ASC growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with field sales teams to support capital placement strategies for CARTO systems and associated technology platforms.
  • Assist in development and execution of customer-specific business plans.
  • Support strategic account negotiations and long-term partnership discussions with key ASC organizations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure successful account onboarding, implementation, and utilization growth.

National ASC Strategy Collaboration

  • Work in partnership with the Director of ASC Strategy & Market Development to help shape and operationalize national ASC initiatives.
  • Provide field intelligence and customer insights to support enterprise-level ASC strategy development.
  • Collaborate with marketing, health economics & market access (HEMA), contracting, finance, and professional education teams to drive aligned execution.
  • Participate in industry meetings, ASC conferences, and key customer engagements to strengthen J&J MedTech’s leadership position in EP.

Relationship Management & Thought Leadership

  • Build trusted executive-level relationships with physician leaders, ASC administrators, supply chain leaders, and healthcare executives.
  • Position J&J MedTech as a strategic long-term partner in ASC electrophysiology growth and innovation.
  • Support educational initiatives focused on workflow optimization, operational efficiency, reimbursement, and procedural growth in ASC settings.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MHA, or related field).
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in MedTech, healthcare strategy, sales leadership, or market development.
  • Demonstrated experience working with ASC markets, IDNs, GPOs, MSOs, or strategic healthcare accounts.
  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular, electrophysiology, or procedural-based healthcare markets preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence complex customer organizations and drive strategic partnerships.
  • Experience collaborating across matrixed commercial organizations.
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Ability to travel significantly (approximately 50%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting capital equipment placements and complex healthcare contracting environments.
  • Knowledge of ASC reimbursement models, procedural economics, and healthcare policy trends.
  • Familiarity with electrophysiology workflows and mapping technologies strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in market expansion or emerging market development initiatives.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. ·

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
