Purpose:
The Product Management Associate (PMA) is responsible for supporting and executing the product management strategy for the Surgery portfolio in South LATAM, ensuring effective product positioning, lifecycle management, and commercialization across markets.
The role combines people supervision, portfolio analytics, and cross‑functional coordination, translating market insights and business strategy into actionable product plans that drive growth, competitiveness, and customer relevance.
You will be responsible for:
People Supervision & Team Effectiveness
- Supervise and support a team of two individual contributors, ensuring clear priorities, effective performance management, and ongoing feedback.
- Enable team capability development in product management fundamentals, market analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Foster a culture of accountability, execution discipline, and customer-centric mindset aligned with J&J Leadership Imperatives.
Product Strategy & Portfolio Support
- Coordinate key processes for the Product Management agenda, including product roadmaps, lifecycle management activities, and portfolio updates.
- Support the development and execution of product positioning strategies, ensuring alignment with clinical value, commercial priorities, and market needs.
- Assist in translating regional and global product strategy into market‑ready plans for South LATAM.
Market Segmentation & Insights
- Participate in the execution of market segmentation strategies, incorporating customer needs, competitive dynamics, and business expectations.
- Analyze market trends, performance data, and customer insights to identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and growth.
- Provide structured insights and recommendations to senior product and commercial leaders.
- Support and coordinate initiatives related to product enhancements, features, and line extensions, based on stakeholder and customer feedback.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Sales, Medical, Supply Chain, and Regional teams to ensure effective execution of product initiatives.
- Track progress and ensure timely completion of assigned Product Management initiatives.
- Product Enhancements & Innovation Enablement
- Support and coordinate initiatives related to product enhancements, features, and line extensions, based on stakeholder and customer feedback.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Sales, Medical, Supply Chain, and Regional teams to ensure effective execution of product initiatives.
- Track progress and ensure timely completion of assigned Product Management initiatives.
Commercial Enablement & Execution
- Contribute to the development of commercial tools and materials (e.g., product messaging, value propositions, launch materials).
- Support product launch activities, ensuring readiness across functions and markets.
- Act as a key interface between Product Management and Commercial teams to ensure consistent execution.
Operations, Compliance & Values
- Manage operational aspects of the team, including workflow, prioritization, and compliance with internal standards and processes.
- Ensure adherence to Johnson & Johnson policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all product-related activities.
- Apply and model Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in daily interactions and decision-making.
Qualifications / Requirements:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Experience in Product Management, Marketing, or Commercial roles, preferably within MedTech or healthcare environments.
- Initial people leadership or supervision experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Solid cross‑functional collaboration and communication capabilities.
- Advanced English proficiency for regional interaction.
