We are searching for the best talent for the Global Medical Affairs Lead for Prostate. The Global Medical Affairs Lead for Prostate Cancer will be responsible for leading aspects of the optimization for our strategy and launch readiness for our asset in development in prostate cancer leveraging our next-generation T cell engagers and immuno-oncology platform and its life cycle management strategies. As the leader of the WWMAST (Worldwide Medical Affairs Strategy Team), the Global Medical Affairs Lead will work with the Regional Medical Affairs Leaders in addressing data gaps and building confidence to ensure the most optimal and safe use of and maximize the benefit for
patients. A key component of the role of the Global Medical Affairs Lead will be providing input on the phase 3 clinical development program, unmet need and clinical impact expected from new indications, and data gaps associated with it. The Global Medical Affairs Lead will partner closely with the GMA Operations Leader, Marketing and Market
access leader, Regional Medical TA/product leaders and Clinical Development Leader to develop an integrated global medical affairs perspectives, strategies and plans.

The Global Medical Affairs Lead will partner with the regions and the extended medical affairs partners for the development of the global Medical Affairs Strategic plan (WWMAS) that reflects the medical strategy and prioritized needs. In addition, the WWMAST, led by the Global Medical Affairs Lead will develop the Integrated Evidence Generation plan, Global Publication plans, Global Opinion Leader relations, Global Medical Education plans and Content, and will be in charge of an overall strategy for optimal Insights gathering. Will also partner with the Global Commercial and Market Access Leads to develop the Global asset plan and be part of the Global Commercial Team (GCT), and Evidence & Medical Access Team (EMAT). The Global Medical Affairs Lead will represent Medical affairs at the Compound Development Team, which is the key strategic cross-functional team in charge of the overall strategy and life cycle of the product. Other key partners of the Global Medical Affairs Lead include clinical development, safety, statistics, communications, patients advocacy, etc. Responsible for ensuring all global activities follow J&J Compliance principles, e.g. Health Care Compliance, etc.

Qualifications
• MD, PhD or PharmD with experience in oncology with a strong preference for prostate cancer experience.
• A minimum of 5+ years of combined relevant experience in a medical/clinical environment, scientific function in the pharmaceutical industry is required, preferably in a head office / country or regional leadership role.
• Experience in a global role and/or prostate cancer is an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of drug development, study methodology, study data reviews and analysis, and regulatory environment.
• Knowledge of study execution, benefit risk management, and lifecycle management
• Understanding of the global Healthcare EcoSystem and evolving environment, policy and treatment landscape.
• Experience to lead in and contribute to a highly matrixed, cross-functional work teams comprised of high-level managers and executives is required. Experience building business cases and working with R&D teams is an asset.
• Global mindset required, ability to partner cross culturally/regionally is preferred
• Highly innovative with the ability to drive a complex and changing environment and effectively manage and resolve issues within the therapeutic area.
• Also highly desired to have strong experience developing and managing strategic relationships with external medical experts/opinion leaders.
• A minimum of 20-30% travel is expected.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
