Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Sr. Director, End User Services, located in Bangalore, India.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview

The Sr. Director, End User Services is a senior IT leader responsible for defining and delivering a high‑quality, reliable, and scalable end‑user technology experience across DePuy Synthes. This role sets the global strategy for end user services—including workplace technology, service management, and user support—while leading large, diverse teams and strategic partners. The role plays a critical part in enabling productivity, supporting business transformation, and ensuring a consistent and secure user experience across geographies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the global end user services strategy, aligned with DePuy Synthes business priorities and IT strategy.
  • Oversee delivery of end user services, including workplace technology, device management, collaboration tools, and user support operations.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor senior leaders and global teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and manage service management standards, performance metrics, and service level agreements to ensure a consistent user experience.
  • Partner closely with business leaders, IT peers, and external vendors to deliver scalable and cost‑effective solutions.
  • Drive adoption of modern workplace technologies and digital ways of working.
  • Ensure compliance with security, risk, and regulatory requirements related to end user technology services.
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and sourcing strategies for end user services.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 12-14 years of IT experience, including senior leadership responsibility within Technology Services or End User Services.
  • Strong background in end user computing, service management, and workplace technology platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business stakeholders and influence at the executive level.
  • Experience managing large vendor ecosystems and outsourced service models.
  • Strong financial, operational, and risk management skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting global, highly regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated success driving digital workplace transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Familiarity with ITIL‑based service management frameworks.
  • Proven experience leading large, global teams and complex service delivery organizations.

Other:

  • Language requirements: English (fluent).
  • Travel: Up to 15–20%, domestic and international.
  • Certifications: ITIL or relevant IT service management certifications (preferred).
