The Vice President, Integrated Patient Access and Services is an enterprise executive accountable for the strategy, performance, and transformation of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine’s patient access and support infrastructure. This role owns the end-to-end patient service ecosystem, including contact center operations and a fully licensed non-commercial pharmacy, and serves as a critical strategic lever to drive patient access, experience, and business performance.

As a senior enterprise leader, this role partners with Company Presidents and executive stakeholders to shape strategy, influence key investment decisions, and position PSC as a differentiated capability across therapeutic areas. The VP fosters a purpose-driven culture aligned to the Johnson & Johnson Credo, while advancing innovation through digital, data, and AI-enabled transformation in highly regulated healthcare environments.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Strategy & Transformation

  • Defines and owns the enterprise-wide PSC strategy, operating model, and long-range roadmap, ensuring alignment to business priorities and lifecycle needs across therapeutic areas

  • Holds ultimate accountability for strategic trade-off decisions impacting patient access, customer experience, cost efficiency, and compliance risk

  • Leads cross-functional integration across Commercial, Medical, Supply Chain, and Technology to deliver a unified patient engagement and access experience

  • Owns and advances PSC’s digital, data, and AI strategy, ensuring innovation drives measurable business outcomes while maintaining regulatory integrity

  • Establishes PSC as a strategic enterprise capability, embedding services into go-to-market and product lifecycle strategies

  • Sponsors enterprise analytics and insight generation, translating patient and customer feedback into actionable improvements in experience, access, and operational performance

Financial Leadership & Operational Performance

  • Owns full financial performance of PSC, including OPEX, capital investments, and value realization tied to enterprise revenue impact

  • Establishes measurable performance metrics and drives accountability for productivity, service levels, and operational effectiveness

  • Leads end-to-end operations across contact center, pharmacy distribution, implementation, and technology enablement

  • Ensures scalability, efficiency, and service quality across a large, complex, multi-site organization


Compliance, Risk & Governance

  • Holds enterprise accountability for regulatory compliance, risk management, and business continuity across all PSC operations

  • Ensures sustained licensure and compliant operation of the non-commercial pharmacy across all jurisdictions

  • Leads governance across Legal, Compliance, Medical, and Regulatory functions to ensure adherence to all requirements

  • Balances innovation and operational agility with regulatory and legal obligations to enable sustainable growth

  • Serves as a senior representative with external regulatory bodies and oversight agencies

Talent, Culture & Leadership

  • Defines and operationalizes leadership expectations, fostering an enterprise mindset, accountability, and a CEO-level ownership culture

  • Builds and executes a long-term talent strategy, including succession planning, leadership development, and capability

  • Leads a multi-layered leadership organization (Senior Directors, Directors, and functional leaders), ensuring strong pipeline and performance outcomes

  • Creates a purpose-driven culture aligned with the Johnson & Johnson Credo and Leadership Imperatives, ensuring decisions are grounded in patient, customer, and employee needs

Other:

  • Up to 25% domestic travel.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, operations, business or related field.

  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant industry experience in healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy or contact center environments.

  • At least 5 years of senior leadership experience managing large scale patient access programs or call center operations.

  • Proven ability to build, scale, and optimize complex operations in highly regulated environments.

  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics, reimbursement models, regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, FDA), and patient access services.

  • Proven track record managing budgets, operational metrics, and delivering innovative solutions.

  • Demonstrated success leading large, diverse teams in a fast-paced, evolving organization.

  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

  • Experience leveraging data, analytics and digital tools to drive operational performance.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree, master’s degree, MBA or other relevant graduate degree, preferably in Healthcare or Life Science.

  • Experience in specialty areas such as Oncology, Immunology, or rare diseases.

  • Experience managing large healthcare contact center functions or patient access programs.

  • Knowledge of working with contingent labor suppliers, including off-shore resources

  • Familiarity with commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance design and patient out-of-pocket dynamics.

  • Deep knowledge of HIPPA requirements and pharmacy regulations

  • Experience with vendor management experience and external service partners.

  • Demonstrated strength in data-driven decision-making, complex initiative leadership and operational transformation.

  • Experience building team AI literacy and confidence, reinforcing trusted and responsible AI use and sound judgment is preferred.

  • Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, such as AI, through exploration, iteration, and applying new tools over time is preferred.

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

    $199,000.00 - $366,850.00

    Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

    This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.



    Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

    Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

    Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

    Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

    Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

    Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

    Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

    Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

    Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

    Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
