Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Distributor Manager MEA, located in Dubai UAE.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Job Summary

The Distributor Partnerships Lead, MENA is responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing distributor partners to enable regional growth. This role leads distributor selection and due diligence, negotiates and governs distribution agreements, translates regional business plans into distributor-level commitments, and drives distributor performance and compliance. The role requires strong commercial judgment, contract knowledge, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate across cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution and sustainable channel performance.

Key Responsibilities

Distributor Identification, Screening & Onboarding
- Identify and evaluate new distributor partners in line with regional growth strategy and market needs.
- Lead distributor screening and due diligence across finance, legal, compliance, regulatory, investment, and operations.
- Coordinate distributor onboarding with internal cross-functional teams.
- Ensure timely setup of distributors in internal systems.

Distributor Agreements & Governance
- Support development, negotiation, and implementation of distribution agreements.
- Ensure agreements reflect approved business plans and governance requirements.
- Support contract renewals, amendments, and compliance reviews.

Commercial & Business Plan Management
- Translate regional business plans into distributor-specific targets and agreements.
- Manage pricing alignment, incentives, margins, and agreed investments.
- Monitor execution of commercial commitments.

Distributor Performance Management
- Assess distributor performance on a monthly basis against agreed key performance indicators.
- Conduct structured monthly and quarterly performance reviews.
- Drive corrective action plans for underperformance.

Compliance, Risk & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure distributor adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Act as first-line owner of distributor compliance issues.
- Support audits and corrective actions.

Conflict Management & Relationship Resolution
- Manage distributor conflicts related to territory, pricing, and execution.
- Lead resolution to maintain continuity and partnership stability.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Serve as primary interface between distributors and internal stakeholders.
- Provide performance updates and risk reports to management.

Operational Excellence
- Lead development, rollout, and governance of standard operating procedures for distributor operations.
- Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Commercial teams to standardize processes.
- Drive adoption of operating standards and sustained compliance.

Qualifications

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field required.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.

Required
- +7 years of experience in distributor, partner, or channel management in regulated industries.
- Regional or multi-country exposure

- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Understanding of legal contracts and distribution agreements.
- Performance management and analytics capability.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
- Compliance and risk awareness.

Other
- Travel: Up to 30% required.
- Languages: Arabic and English required.
- This role may require coordination across multiple countries and liaison with local legal/compliance teams.
