Description:

The team:

The Currency Management COE has the global responsibility to analyze and consolidate the impacts of currency fluctuations on the financials of all sourcing companies across J&J Hospital MedTech (HMT), and to complete hedging activities to protect against fluctuations in foreign exchange rates. The Currency Management COE is part of the MedTech Principal Operations (MTPO) group which rolls up in the MedTech Center Finance organization.

We are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to strengthen the Transactional Currency Impact (TCI) team, responsible for forecasting and consolidating transactional currency impacts in HMT’s P&L and performing analysis on actuals currency impacts versus budget. The successful candidate will closely collaborate with the exposure managers team, the second pillar of the Currency Management COE. The role provides the opportunity to develop strong business partnering relationships with other MTPO teams, SigniFX, FP&A, Group Finance, Currency Management COEs in IM and Vision, Treasury.

This role will report to the Finance Manager, Currency Management COE in the MedTech Principal Organisation (MTPO).

What you’ll be doing (i.e. job duties):

  • Currency Forecasting: Provide accurate transactional currency impacts for budgeting, forecasting and actuals for HMT SC, ensuring alignment with business partners

  • Currency Analysis & Reporting: Deliver comprehensive financial analyses on full P&L transactional currency impacts resulting from internal and/or external factors and cascade valuable insights on variances, trends, and risks based upon this analysis.

  • Currency Reviews: Present management decks including driver-based commentaries enhancing the understanding of the currency movements towards MTPO, FP&A, Group Finance & Senior Leadership

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong business partnerships with MTPO (with a primary focus on AGP Reporting and BUF), E2E BU Finance Teams, Inventory, Group Finance, FP&A, Treasury, and the Currency Management CoEs in IM and Vision to enhance understanding of transactional currency impacts and provide training on TCI principles.

  • New Tools & Processes: Co-lead the change from TM1 FX to SigniFX tools. Collaborate with the SigniFX project team on the future state and the impact on the current TCI reporting tools and processes.

  • Change Management: Identify and implement ongoing process improvements that promote simplification and standardization within CM COE & MTPO processes and opportunities for simplifying and reducing workload.

Education and Experience Required for Role:

  • University degree in Finance/Economics with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Must have strong finance, accounting, and business insight. MBA, CPA, CMA, and/or other financial certifications are preferred.

  • A solid grasp of hedging principles, hedge accounting and inventory accounting is preferred.

  • Supply Chain experience preferred.

  • Possess excellent communication to translate (analytical) insights into clear storytelling towards different types of audiences.

  • Ability to manage a dynamic environment with high visibility to senior leaders, characterized by macro-economic events and unpredictability

  • Strong business partnering skills and the ability to collaborate in a virtual matrix environment.

  • Highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and proven leadership skills.

  • A “can-do” mentality with a strong continuous improvement mindset.

  • Able to combine a helicopter view with deep dives when needed.

  • Able to work independently, manage complexity and handle several tasks simultaneously.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office is required.

  • Demonstrate work life balance; solicit feedback on organizational health and implement improvements; remove barriers to success.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€72,500.00 - €115,230.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
