We are searching for the best talent for Clinical Expert Orthopedics Southwest Netherlands.

Purpose: At Johnson & Johnson MedTech, we are looking for a hands-on Clinical Expert Orthopedics Southwest Netherlands to provide clinical and technical support during orthopaedic and trauma procedures. This field-based role is ideal for a healthcare professional with Operating Room experience who enjoys working closely with surgeons and hospital teams to deliver excellent patient outcomes. As part of a national team, primarily supporting the South-West region of the Netherlands, you will play a key role in supporting procedures, delivering training, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding your clinical expertise within a leading MedTech organization, in close collaboration with the Sales team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing intraoperative support during orthopaedic procedures, with a focus on hip, knee, shoulder, and trauma cases.

  • Prepare and manage surgical instruments and implants to ensure efficient case execution.

  • Support surgeons and Operating Room teams by delivering reliable clinical and technical expertise.

  • Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and act as a trusted clinical partner.

  • Assist with product training, workshops, and educational activities for customers and OR staff.

  • Support case planning, instrument readiness, and operational excellence across the region.

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with the Sales team in customer engagement and support activities, while proactively identifying new opportunities.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Operating Room background (e.g., scrub nurse, OR assistant, physician assistant, or similar clinical role).

  • Experience working in a surgical environment.

  • A minimum of 15 years of clinical experience gained across multiple hospital settings or in a clinical leadership position.

  • Strong affinity with orthopaedic procedures and patient care.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Hands-on, practical, and customer-focused approach.

  • Fluent in Dutch with a good command of English.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across the Netherlands.

  • Flexibility to work outside standard office hours, in alignment with surgical schedules and customer needs.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting orthopaedic and trauma procedures.

  • Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and implant systems.

  • Experience working directly with surgeons and Operating Room teams.

  • Ability to work flexibly according to surgical schedules and training opportunities

  • Desire to continuously develop clinical expertise and grow into a more senior clinical role.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€55,000.00 - €88,090.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
