We are searching for the best talent for MES Engineering Manager to be in Juarez City.

The MES Manager is responsible for leading the technical architecture, development, and data capabilities of the MES (Opcenter MSP) platform. This role ensures the system is aligned with manufacturing needs by driving configuration, scripting, integrations, and data enablement.

The position focuses on building and sustaining a strong technical foundation to support advanced MES functionality, system evolution, and digital manufacturing initiatives.

Reports directly to the Senior MES Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead MES technical development, including configuration, scripting (XML, C#, Mendix, MSP Designer), and solution design within Opcenter MSP.
  • Own MES data structures, models, and interfaces to enable traceability, reporting, and analytics.
  • Drive technical standardization, coding practices, and reusable frameworks across MES development.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, performing root cause analysis on workflows, services, and integrations.
  • Lead technical aspects of system upgrades, deployments, and environment management (Dev / Test / Prod).
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Automation, Digital and IT teams to translate process requirements into technical MES solutions.
  • Enable data availability for business intelligence, reporting platforms, and operational metrics (OEE, FPY, traceability).
  • Develop and mentor a technical team (developers/configurators/modelers), strengthening capabilities in scripting, data, and system design.
  • Ensure documentation of configurations, code, interfaces, and data models aligned with validation and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors (e.g., Siemens) and central teams for advanced technical support and roadmap alignment.
  • Communicate technical risks, opportunities, and system evolution plans to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, validation, and quality system requirements (e.g., GxP, medical device standards).

Experience and Education

  • Strong experience in Opcenter MSP (Camstar) development and technical configuration.
  • Proven expertise in XML, C#, SQL, web services, and MES data modeling.
  • Experience designing and supporting system integrations (ISA-95 aligned architectures preferred).
  • Background in manufacturing systems, automation, and digital manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading technical teams and complex MES deployments or enhancements.
  • Solid understanding of system scalability, performance tuning, and environment management.
  • Familiarity with validation frameworks and regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6–10+ years of experience in MES, manufacturing IT, or related disciplines.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish).
