We are searching for the best talent for Senior Equipment Engineering Technician (Temporary 12 Months)

Purpose:

In acordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson procedures and guidelines, this position:

The responsibilities could include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Daily oversight of improvement projects implemented on the production floor.

  • Provide support in validation engineering executions and improvement projects on manufacturing lines.

  • Oversee change management in production environments.

  • Provides support for tasks including the execution of validation protocols and the development of ID generation formats for new equipment on production lines.

  • Supports new line validation executions and improvements on existing lines.

  • Able to conduct technical presentations to visualize data and trends related to production processes during validation and stabilization phases.

  • Continuous support on new line change management and improvements on existing lines.

  • 1Responsible for communicating business-related problems or opportunities to the next level of management.

  • Responsible for following all company guidelines related to health, safety, and environmental practices, as applicable.

  • Preferably have knowledge in the medical products industry and/or in Engineering or Lean Manufacturing departments.

  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

  • Ability to use computer software (Microsoft Office, CAD, Minitab, etc.).

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and/or Six Sigma is expected.

  • Certification in Change Management (preferred).

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other assigned tasks as needed.

Equipment Engineering Technician Specializations

  • The Equipment Engineering Technician provides support to various areas, with roles and responsibilities adjusted according to business needs, such as Critical Equipment, Proactive Engineering, or Project Engineering (Flexibility).

Critical Equipment

  • Diagnoses and tests new equipment.

  • Maintains and manages manufacturing equipment, control systems, and provides daily support to operations.

  • Executes and implements process and machine improvements on automated production equipment to enhance utilization, reliability, downtime, and overall performance.

  • Contributes to maintaining safe working conditions aligned with the site's safety requirements.

Proactive Engineering

  • Contributes to regulatory compliance through established validation and verification processes.

  • Provides support and conducts end-to-end process investigations, identifying key personnel, developing timelines, handling escalations, and supporting change management activities.

  • Creates, updates, or modifies manufacturing procedures aligned with continuous process improvement.

  • Identifies and supports the elimination of potential compliance risks in manufacturing processes and documentation.

  • Provides support during internal and external audits.

Project Engineering

  • Provides support and conducts end-to-end process investigations, identifying key personnel, developing timelines, handling escalations, and supporting change management activities.

  • Executes equipment and process validation protocols in support of the Validation Engineer.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent technical degree is required.

  • From 4 to 6 years of experience in the industry or currently pursuing a university degree (preferably with the ability to read and interpret technical documentation in English).

  • English reading proficiency is preferred.

  • Proficient in using various software applications to create presentations in PowerPoint and PDF formats.

  • Certification or training in Change Management is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and/or Six Sigma is expected.

  • Knowledge and/or previous experience in manufacturing processes.
