The Lead Technician, Production Equipment Repair & Maintenance will provide technical and process support for production equipment, repair, maintenance, engineering, and operational teams. This role supports production line improvements, equipment reliability, process enhancements, troubleshooting, documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Lead Technician will help ensure the quality, safety, efficiency, and reliability of equipment and processes while maintaining compliance with applicable engineering standards, FDA, OSHA, GMP, MPs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, equipment specifications, and process specifications.
Adheres to Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures and supports department objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes tasks that support the Production Equipment Repair & Maintenance function and follows administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
- Provides technical and process support for production line improvements, including design, development, installation, testing, and deployment of hardware and software enhancements.
- Helps administer the technical implementation, modification, and ongoing analysis of quality, safety, and efficiency for discrete production of unit-based items assembled from component parts.
- Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineers to interpret key data points and develop repair and maintenance schematics for new and improved repair and maintenance processes, tools, and equipment.
- Checks regular status on operational control standards and testing equipment to assess conformance with engineering specifications, including raw materials, parts, components, finished items, and packaging.
- Supports process improvements, addresses quality issues, provides protocol support, and helps manage deployment of enhancements to the production line.
- Utilizes Process Excellence tools to support improvements in equipment performance, process reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Maintains current knowledge of and adheres to Engineering Standards, best practices, FDA, OSHA, GMP, MPs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, equipment specifications, and process specifications.
- Supports new products, new installations, and related technical documentation needs.
- Creates, reviews, and updates electro-mechanical drawings, operating manuals, procedures, maintenance and calibration procedures, and training manuals as required by assigned projects.
- Investigates alternative methods and procedures to reduce variability and improve equipment reliability.
- Assists in the design of experiments under operational and developmental conditions to decrease cycle times, increase yields, and improve machine reliability, repeatability, and standardization.
- Maintains vigilance for shop safety, environmental safety, product quality, ergonomics, and hazardous energy control.
- Provides technical training to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Operations on new equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification, associate degree, or related technical training preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Required:
- 6 year's of experience providing technical support in a manufacturing, production, maintenance, engineering, or equipment repair environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot, support, and improve production equipment, processes, tools, and systems.
- Working knowledge of equipment specifications, process specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ability to create, review, or update technical documentation such as drawings, procedures, operating manuals, maintenance instructions, calibration procedures, and training materials.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established processes and ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables.
- Ability to work fully onsite in Jacksonville, Florida.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, analytical, and independent judgment skills.
PREFERRED:
- Experience supporting production line improvements, new equipment installations, or equipment reliability initiatives.
- Experience using Process Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement tools.
- Knowledge of FDA, OSHA, GMP, MPs, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Experience supporting design of experiments, cycle time reduction, yield improvement, reliability improvement, repeatability, or standardization efforts.
- Experience training operations teams or Subject Matter Experts on new equipment or updated processes.

- Fully onsite role based in Jacksonville, FL.
- Primary Work Location: US076 FL Jacksonville - 7500 Centurion Pkwy.
- Full-time schedule; 40 scheduled weekly hours.
