Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Inventory & Planning is responsible for leading inventory and planning activities across the Vision Distribution business in EMEA. The role ensures optimal inventory performance, product availability, planning governance and cross-functional alignment to support customer service, financial and operational objectives. The position also leads strategic projects, continuous improvement initiatives and cost optimisation opportunities across the end-to-end supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Planning Leadership

  • Lead EMEA Inventory & Planning activities for finished goods inventory across the Vision business.
  • Develop and execute inventory strategies to optimise customer service, working capital and inventory health.
  • Monitor and manage inventory-related KPIs, including inventory levels, SLOB, expiry risk and service performance.
  • Identify supply and inventory risks and drive mitigation plans across the EMEA network.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Commercial, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Customer Service, Finance, Marketing and Operations teams to align business priorities and inventory plans.
  • Support S&OP and Integrated Business Planning processes through inventory insights, scenario planning and risk assessment.
  • Provide inventory and planning recommendations to senior leadership to enable informed business decisions.

Project Leadership & Business Transformation

  • Lead strategic supply chain projects across inventory management, planning processes, system enhancements, network optimisation, product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Drive implementation of new tools, technologies and process improvements that enhance business performance.
  • Support organisational transformation initiatives and change management activities across the region.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimisation

  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities across planning, inventory, logistics and distribution processes.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through inventory optimisation, waste reduction, process standardisation, automation and improved planning accuracy.
  • Use data analytics and performance metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and operational excellence.
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture focused on simplification, standardisation and measurable business outcomes.

Governance & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and performance reporting.
  • Establish robust governance processes to ensure visibility of inventory risks, service impacts and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure data accuracy and process compliance across inventory and planning activities.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Inventory & Planning team.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships and collaboration across EMEA.
  • Coach and develop team members while building organisational capability.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Significant experience in supply chain, inventory management, planning or operations.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and cost reduction programmes.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience with S&OP/IBP processes, ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€85,000.00 - €146,050.00

Benefits:

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
