Department Overview

The Johnson & Johnson MedTech Contract Strategy & Execution (CS&E) organization is responsible for the development, governance, and execution of customer contract and pricing strategies for the Surgery business unit. CS&E capabilities include Contract Strategy, Offer Development, Customer and Contract Analytics, Contract Management, Key Account Management, and Contracting and Pricing Committee (CPC) governance. The organization works in close collaboration with Sales, Finance, Legal, and other partners to deliver compliant, customer‑centric offerings that support business objectives, operational excellence, and long‑term value creation.

Role Objective

Contract Execution & Negotiation

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contract documents and support customer calls as needed

  • Ensure contracts are aligned to approved strategies, pricing structures, eligibility requirements, and CPC governance.

  • Coordinate contract implementation workflows, identify potential gaps, and recommend solutions to improve execution quality and speed.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Coordinate contract implementation workflows, identify potential gaps, and recommend solutions to improve execution quality and speed.

Systems, Templates & Process Improvement

  • Develop and maintain contract templates in contracting systems in support of approved pricing strategies.

  • Support the design and implementation of systems, processes, and controls to improve efficiency and compliance.

  • Write and maintain assigned standard operating procedures and work instructions

Maintenance, Compliance & Audit Support

  • Implement price changes resulting from contract maintenance activity, including scheduled increases and compliance adjustments.

  • Generate contract price files, maintain IDN rosters, create member-add letters, and draft amendments.

  • Provide timely responses to audit requests and help maintain Contract Management SharePoint content

Issue Resolution & Team Enablement

  • Facilitate internal approvals and stakeholder alignment to resolve complex issues and disputes, escalating as appropriate.

  • Provide mentorship and training to team members and business partners on contractual requirements and the compliance environment

Qualifications:

Education: A minimum of a BS/BA is required. A degree in Business, Law, Finance, or Sales & Marketing is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in Contracting & Pricing or related business experience required with J&J or medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or the legal field preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to self-manage in a complex, time-sensitive environment

  • Capable of drafting complex contract terms and conditions, reviewing contracts for policy conformity, and identifying risk

  • Ability to work effectively across functions, build trust-based relationships, and align stakeholders to business objectives

  • Drive to understand the JJMT Surgery products and offerings, strategies and business objectives

  • Strong level of ownership and drive for meeting / exceeding expectations

  • Solutions-oriented with a bias towards action

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including track changes and document compare.

  • Experience with matrix commercial organizations and JJMT contracting systems.

The Lead Analyst, Contract Management will work directly with the Key Account Management, Offer Development and Contract Strategy teams in preparing JJMT Surgery agreements within understood and approved strategies. This role is expected to act as a change agent, driving the modernization of Contract Management through innovation, data, and technology, while maintaining strong governance, risk management, and financial discipline.

Domestic travel is required up to 10% of the time.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$94,000.00 - $151,800.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
