As a Senior Finance Manager, Value Management Office, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of finance within Innovative Medicine and make a direct impact on patient outcomes while driving operational excellence.
The Senior Finance Manager, VMO will play a key role in ensuring the strategic vision is successfully executed, in reshaping the finance function to deliver long-term, sustainable growth for the IM business, unlocking both financial and non-financial benefits.
This role will play a key role in the execution of the IMFT Roadmap.
Playing a leading role in the IM Transcend program and delivering on IMFT transformation priorities within this initiative will be a critical component of this position. IM Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains.
Key interactions
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Establish strong relationships with business partners, IM Finance teams, and technology owners to ensure alignment on key decisions related to process design, performance, and technology enablement. Foster collaboration with external partners and leverage industry best practices and technological innovations to ensure the value stream remains at the forefront of finance transformation. Orchestrate collaboration across regions, functions, and programs to ensure alignment and success. Be the strategic driver in integrating finance transformation with other business functions (e.g. Supply Chain, Commercial, JJT, FS&T, HR, etc.) to ensure cohesive execution across all workstreams. Provide leadership to senior business leaders, driving accountability and alignment to deliver on strategic initiatives.
Specific to the IM Transcend program, E2E collaboration across other teams and platforms outside of the IM Transcend scope will be critical to ensure E2E de-risking and readiness for various release go-lives.
Main responsibilities:
As the Value Management Office Lead, you will drive the adoption and execution of value-enabling initiatives across IM Finance teams. This includes coordinating transformation efforts to maximize business impact.
Transformation Coordination & Support
Coordinate cross-team transformation activities, manage timelines, and identify risks and interdependencies to support seamless program integration.Value Management Office (VMO) Execution
Manage key initiatives, monitor progress, and apply project management tools to enhance delivery.Reporting & Communication
Prepare and consolidate updates for IMFT leadership and stakeholders. Support executive reporting by gathering insights and ensuring timely, accurate communication.Specific to the IM Transcend program, it will be required to comply and report in line with the program standards, processes and methodologies.
Qualifications & Requirements
8+ Years Work Experience with 5+ years in senior leadership roles focused on finance transformation, process optimization, and value stream management.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance, or similar) preferred. Professional certifications (CPA, CFA, CMA) are a plus.
Strategic Decision-Making: Proven experience leading digital transformation initiatives within finance or related fields, including implementing advanced technologies (ERP, AI, automation) to enhance finance operations and ensuring alignment with business objectives that drive value creation.
Tech Savvy: Strong background in technology integration and interest in emerging technologies, partnering with IT departments (e.g., JJT) to leverage technology solutions that drive digital transformation objectives and enhance financial performance.
Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and align stakeholders at all levels and influence decision-making
Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, especially within Innovative Medicine (IM) and patient-centric finance strategies.
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies (e.g., financial planning tools, analytics platforms) and external consulting partners (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte).
Strong Program and Project Management skills, including project tracking (financial & non-financial)
Excellent and extensive Project Management experience
Ability to manage multiple projects/ workstreams/ initiatives in parallel
Ability to manage and coordinate cross-functional teams and projects
Issue resolution / mitigation mindset
Ability to spot and bring to light risks and interdependencies; and propose solutions
Ability to align priorities & roadmap across parallel and cross-functional programs

€96’000.00 - €165’025.00The anticipated pay ranges for additional locations are:
[Ireland] – The anticipated base pay range for this position is EUR 85'000 – 146'050.[Netherlands] – The anticipated base pay range for this position is EUR 82’900 – 144'210.
