DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Sales & Commercial Support Specialist, located in Norderstedt, Germany.

About DePuy Synthes We’re looking for a collaborative team player with strong character—someone who takes ownership, brings fresh ideas, and turns strategy into results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Sales and Commercial Operations with quotations, order processing and customer communication.

  • Maintain and govern master data (customers, products, prices, discounts, commercial conditions) in ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP).

  • Draft, review and manage commercial contracts, framework agreements and amendments; ensure correct documentation and version control.

  • Verify contractual compliance and monitor adherence to agreed commercial terms and pricing.

  • Execute intercompany reconciliations and coordinate corrective actions with Finance/Accounting teams.

  • Review and approve invoices, credit notes and commercial adjustments in line with contracts and internal controls.

  • Produce and maintain regular commercial reports (master data quality, open items, deviations, contract KPIs).

  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain and Sales to resolve commercial issues and support escalations.

  • Contribute to system implementations, data migration and process improvement projects to increase efficiency and data integrity.

  • Document processes, maintain workflows and support training for stakeholders on commercial and master data topics.

  • Team-oriented, proactive and accountable approach to work.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of data quality awareness.

  • Comfortable in a try-and-learn culture—testing ideas quickly, learning from feedback, and improving through iteration.

Experience & functional expertise

  • Several years of relevant experience (approx. 3–5 years or more), preferably within orthopaedics, medical devices or a related healthcare industry.

  • Solid experience in sales/commercial support, master data management, contract management and intercompany processes.

  • Analytical mindset and business acumen with a proven ability to interpret data and drive decisions.

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of pricing, discounts and contract terms.

  • Practical experience with ERP/CRM systems (SAP preferred) and financial/accounting interfaces is an advantage.

Working style & skills

  • Structured, data-driven, and goal-oriented working style.

  • Very good presentation and communication skills; able to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Confident user of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and deliver consistent results.

Qualifications & role requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management or related field.

  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for cross‑site collaboration or training (if required).

  • Experience with medical device/compliance environment is beneficial.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€51,200.00 - €80,845.00

Benefits:

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
