For our Commercial Oncology Team based in Neuss we are currently searching for a
Business Unit Lead Lung (m/w/d)
The Business Unit Lead (BUL) Lung is accountable for accelerating growth and maximizing the full potential of the Lung oncology portfolio in Germany, Rybrevant and Lazcluze in a highly competitive NSCLC environment.
This role is responsible for delivering short- and long-term performance, driving launch excellence, rapid market adoption, and competitive outperformance, while ensuring strong cross-functional orchestration, patient-centric impact, and the effective use of digital innovation and artificial intelligence to enhance decision-making and execution.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Growth Acceleration & Business Performance
Deliver Net Sales vs. target and outperform Market Share in NSCLC segments for Rybrevant and Lazcluze
Own full P&L accountability, including:
Maintaining forecast accuracy (±X%)
Optimizing ROI on key investments
Driving effective resource prioritization
Establish and rigorously track growth drivers:
Increase patient identification and treatment initiation rates
Improve eligible patient capture across the treatment pathway (%)
Continuously identify and unlock growth opportunities across the treatment pathway
2. Launch Excellence & Competitive Execution
Lead best-in-class execution of launches and indication expansions, delivering time-to-peak sales aligned with plan
Translate clinical differentiation into measurable adoption:
Increase% of target HCPs actively prescribing
Ensure rapid and broad access:
Accelerate time-to-reimbursement and access milestones
Improve access success rate (payer/hospital level)
Remove barriers to uptake with direct impact on:
Prescription volume growth
Competitor share evolution
3. Strategic Leadership
Define and implement a clear, growth-driven Lung strategy aligned with brand, OpCo, and EMEA TA priorities
Drive sharp prioritization toward initiatives with highest impact and ROI
Ensure disciplined execution:
Deliver% of strategic initiatives on time
Track ROI and impact of key initiatives
Translate strategy into execution-ready plans with clear milestones and measurable outcomes
4. Cross-Functional Orchestration and Stakeholder Engagement
Lead the BU through solid-line (Marketing, Sales) and dotted-line leadership (Medical, MSLs, HEMAR, Business Excellence)
Ensure seamless collaboration to deliver integrated execution through:
Cross-functional plan delivery rate (%)
Drive a unified customer engagement model:
Improve reach & frequency in priority customer segments
Strengthen stakeholder relationships to drive treatment adoption and prescribing behavior
Ensure consistent customer-centric approach and value delivery
5. Insights, Analytics & Adaptation
Monitor market dynamics, competitor moves, and clinical developments in real time
Implement performance dashboards tracking key commercial KPIs
Translate insights into rapid decision-making:
Reduce decision-to-implementation cycle time
Embed a data-driven culture:
Increase data utilization in key decisions (%)
Ensure frequent strategy adjustments based on insights
6. Leadership, Culture & Talent
Build and lead a high-performing, agile team focused on growth delivery
Drive talent development and strengthen leadership pipeline:
Ensure succession coverage for critical roles

Required Qualifications & Capabilities:
Strong leadership experience in oncology, ideally lung cancer or launch environments
Proven track record in driving growth in competitive markets
Experience managing complex, cross-functional teams and matrix organizations
Deep understanding of oncology ecosystems (clinical, access, stakeholder landscape)
Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution focus
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior level
Analytical, results-oriented, and highly resilient
Very good command of English & German
University degree in business administration, medicine, or natural sciences
Digital, Data & AI Capabilities
Demonstrated ability to leverage digital tools, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence to drive business performance and decision-making
Strong understanding of how to translate data, insights, and AI-driven outputs into actionable commercial strategies
Openness and capability to identify, adopt, and scale innovative digital solutions that enhance customer engagement, operational efficiency, and growth
The expected base salary for this position is: 106.100€ to 182.390€
