DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Senior Finance Analyst, located in Madrid, Spain.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, regulatory approvals, consultation processes, and other customary conditions. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Any planned changes would be communicated at the appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview:

The Senior Finance Analyst will be part of the Business Unit Finance team in Spain, supporting the Orthopaedics Business through financial analysis, forecasting, reporting accuracy, compliance, and business insights. This role will partner closely with Commercial Business Partners and cross-functional teams to translate financial data into clear recommendations that support business decisions and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business and functional teams to manage PnL, support forecasting, and provide constructive challenges to drive efficiencies.
• Lead and support cross-Platform finance processes, promoting standardization, simplification, automation, and strong execution discipline.
• Prepare financial analysis, variance explanations, forecasts, dashboards, and management presentations for local, regional, and global stakeholders.
• Support international finance activities, including cash visibility, balance sheet analysis, intercompany topics, and treasury-related processes when required.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate financial policies, accounting requirements, and audit documentation standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems, reporting quality, and ways of working across teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
• MBA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Typically 4–6 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial planning, or business partnering roles.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into practical business insights.
• Experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, management reporting, and financial modeling.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or financial reporting tools such as SAP, Power BI, or similar systems.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions, geographies, and seniority levels.
• Business-level English required; Spanish is highly valuable for local stakeholder management.
