This is a field-based role available in multiple states within United States. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application. Purpose: We are looking for a dynamic sales leader that can motivate and lead teams to produce exceptional results. In this position you will manage the sales and clinical teams for their assigned territory and nurture our culture of trust, honor, and integrity. You will also manage and partner with the Region Clinical Manager who is responsible for oversight and direction of the clinical consultant team members. You must showcase proven success developing & executing sales strategies that result in the achievement of sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives
  • Lead/manage the Region Clinical Manager, collaborating with them on the direction and development of the region clinical consultant team members
  • Directs the sales performance in specified region
  • Identify, hire, retain and develop talent through proactively managing performance
  • Develop strategies for launching new accounts and greater penetration in existing accounts
  • Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales
  • Lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects
  • Collaborate with cross functional departments within the organizations in order to support region growth

Qualifications - External

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • A Master’s or Advanced Degree is preferred

Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of high-performance experience in the medical device cardiovascular space is required
  • A minimum of 5+ years of management experience of a field commercial team or 2+ years of Abiomed Associate Regional Director experience is required
  • Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members; exhibits ability to lead a diverse team with strong emotional intelligence is required
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external is required
  • Demonstrated critical thinking in fast paced environment is required
  • Ability to exercise judgment in selecting, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results required
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written) is required
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
  • Working knowledge of business analytics tools is preferred
  • Ability to travel 70% within assigned area is required

The expected base pay range for this position is $150,000.

The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.

This position is eligible for a company car allowance through the Company’s FLEET program.

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

  • Condolence Leave – 30 days for an immediate family member: 5 days for an extended family member

  • Caregiver Leave – 10 days

  • Volunteer Leave – 4 days

  • Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours
