For our Weighing & Logistics department in Geel, we are looking for an Operations Manager who will play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient execution of weighing, dispensing, and logistics activities—supporting both internal and external production flows.
Your role
As Operations Manager – Weighing & Logistics, you are responsible for the day‑to‑day operational performance of your area and for driving long‑term improvements. You lead supervisors and operational teams (> 70 employees in a 24/7 shift regime), translate strategy into execution, and act as a key interface with stakeholders across the site.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing supervisors and operational teams with a strong focus on safety, quality, and engagement
- Ensuring robust operational execution of weighing, dispensing, and logistics activities in a GMP environment
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, quality, compliance, ergonomics, and reliability
- Monitoring and improving KPIs related to safety, quality, service, and cost
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS, and internal standards
- Acting as a key partner within site initiatives and cross‑functional projects
- Proactively identifying risks and translating them into sustainable solutions
- Role model the Credo and J&J values in everyday decisions and leadership behaviors
- Build a culture of high engagement, collaboration and ownership at all levels in the organization
Your profile
You are a strong people leader who combines operational knowledge with a hands‑on mindset.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in chemistry, engineering, logistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a regulated or GMP environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach teams in a complex operational setting
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and stakeholder management skills
- Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Clear, confident communicator who can connect strategy with execution and the ability to build a strong network
- Strong quality & compliance and EHS mindset
- Fluent in both Dutch and English (spoken and written)

€79,800.00 - €137,770.00Benefits:
In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
