Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Regional Transportation Analyst, located in Cork, Ireland
Global Transportation & Trade Operations EMEA supports both sectors of Johnson & Johnson: MedTech and Innovative Medicines, leads a sophisticated transportation and trade operations network across Europe, Middle East and Africa supporting various modalities and service levels and maximising Integrated Logistics Operations (Control Tower) and Third-Party Logistic sourcing base.
Purpose of position
Guidance, coordination, and operational oversight of Regional Inbound Transportation MedTech Segment to ensure reliable and cost-efficient supply of local Affiliates DCs from Manufacturing Sites and Regional Hubs. The focus for this role will be the close collaboration and partnership with the Segment Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, QA, and Trade Compliance Regional and Global functions to strive for reliable day-to-day inbound operations in support of required service to the Customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive value to MedTech EMEA through the optimized regional transportation flows for Inbound Freight, i.e., transportation flows from Manufacturing sites to the Hubs, from the Hubs to affiliates and distributor DCs and inter-affiliate stock moves (owned/managed by EMEA region), as well as raw material and packaging flows for selected Manufacturing sites.
- Handle relationships with 3PL / 4PL (Control Tower) via metrics and by providing them with strategic directions and guidance, as well as driving continuous improvements.
- Lead performance measurement of Transport reliability through critical metrics aligned with MedTech PLAN and EDC operations teams. Provide input for MedTech Executive performance reviews
- Deliver on CIP targets through operational improvements while ensuring service, quality, reliability and compliance. Lead regular reviews with MedTech Segment leads, Finance and other relevant partners.
- Represent IBF Transportation in E2E MedTech Supply Chain forums and projects, drive E2E process alignments and Trade-offs, and establish input on Inbound freight into S&OP processes.
- Partner with MedTech SC to translate their inventory strategy and business requirements into new innovative transportation solutions, establish effective strategies to drive transportation reliability in E2E Supply Chain, support transportation setup for Manufacturing Network changes and New Product Launches.
- Proactively surfaces and resolves key issues and demonstrates continuous improvement including transportation lanes, resource management, and leveraged value.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor or University degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / Business
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Minimum 5 years in E2E Supply chain related fields, good understanding of order-to-cash process
- Excellent analytical skills and affinity to numbers: ability to support budgeting and financial reconciliation processes and identify/calculate Continues Improvement opportunities in Transportation.
- Subject Matter Expertise across core Transportation, Planning and Carrier / 3PL-4PL management, knowledge of import / export processes and systems is a plus.
Other:
- Fluent in English, other European languages is a plus
- E2E mentality and collaborative, Customer focused approach. Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority
- Innovative mentality with capability for problem solving, compliance orientation/GDP knowledge/quality approach, argument development and trade-off alignment
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and build standard methodologies in Operations efficiency with a focus on Transportation management to drive E2E value
- Process orientation with continuous improvement mentality. Lean certification is a plus.
- Good communication and presentation skills paired with ability to conceptualize.
- Good Project management and change management skills
- Demonstrates an understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including awareness of responsible and ethical AI practices, and has experience generating effective prompts to boost efficiency and productivity.
