We are searching for the best talent to join us as a Production Operator (Washing / Packaging) in Nijmegen, Netherlands.

Purpose:

In this role, you will perform manufacturing tasks for washing and packaging lines in accordance with established procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), documentation standards, quality requirements, safety rules, and the Employee Code of Conduct. You will operate, monitor, and make adjustments to washing and packaging equipment, perform format changeovers, and work in a shift system. You will also complete a training, qualification, and apprenticeship period under the supervision of the Team Lead Production.

You will be responsible for:

  • Operating, monitoring, and performing basic troubleshooting of washing equipment and packaging areas
  • Preparing equipment and executing format changeovers according to SOPs while maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work areas and performing washing tasks
  • Preparing and verifying batch components, packaging materials, and labels prior to production start
  • Manufacturing and packing products in line with GMP, established procedures, and quality documentation practices
  • Performing in‑process inspections (visual, weight, label, and batch/lot checks) and segregating non‑conforming items
  • Completing accurate production records, batch reconciliation, and transfer documentation while supporting material handling, inventory, and goods transfers
  • Following PPE and safety procedures, reporting hazards, risks, and incidents, and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines
  • Supporting team members, contributing to safe and efficient shift operations, and supporting finished goods projects and assigned tasks
  • Escalating process deviations, batch mix‑ups, or quality issues, and ensuring compliance with the Employee Code of Conduct while communicating improvement opportunities

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Industry experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Preferably experience with: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other production standards, Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), quality, and compliance standards.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality; ideally experience with LEAN tools, continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills combined with an ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
  • Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Willingness to work shifts is required - the role requires working in a shift system Monday to Friday, including morning shifts starting at 6:30 and afternoon/late shifts ending at midnight; Saturday work may occur but is currently voluntary.

The position is offered on the basis of a 1-year fixed-term contract with possibility of extension depending on performance.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€34.200,00 - €50.600,00
