Responsibilities
The Group Product Director, Strategic Customer Solutions (SCS) is responsible for leading the Strategic Customer Solutions team as part of Trade and Marketing Solutions (TMS), within Strategic Customer Group (SCG). This leader sets the vision, strategy, and execution framework for identifying customer operational barriers and developing innovative solutions that accelerate adoption of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine therapies across sites of care, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), health systems, specialty networks, and payer customers.
The role leads a team focused on three strategic pillars:
- Customer Operational Readiness Solutions
- Enterprise Customer Solutions
- Digital Health Solutions
Together, these capabilities generate actionable market and customer insights, develop scalable operational solutions, and enable connected care delivery models that improve customer readiness, accelerate therapy adoption, and support patient access from clinical development through launch and lifecycle management.
The Group Product Director serves as a strategic thought partner to Brand Marketing, Market Access, Account Management, Medical Affairs, Global Launch Teams, Health IT, PECS, and SCG leadership to ensure customer operational readiness is embedded into launch planning, access strategies, and long-term growth objectives.
Strategic Leadership & Business Planning
- Define and execute the Strategic Customer Solutions vision, priorities, and operating model aligned to SCG and TMS strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain customer operational readiness strategies across the enterprise that identify operational barriers to adoption and recommend solutions that improve customer activation, productivity, and long-term utilization.
- Shape enterprise-wide approaches for assessing customer readiness across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch periods.
- Partner with brand, market access, and account management leaders to ensure operational readiness insights inform launch readiness, customer engagement, reimbursement planning, and access strategies.
- Drive innovation by identifying emerging customer needs, healthcare delivery trends, and operational challenges that create opportunities for new solutions and capabilities.
Cross Functional Leadership & Influence
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives involving Market Access, Brand Marketing, Medical Affairs, Health IT, Patient Support, Account Management, Value & Evidence, Global Commercial Strategy, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary SCS representative in launch readiness planning, customer operational readiness strategy development, and strategic account initiatives.
- Influence senior leaders through data-driven recommendations, business cases, and insight generation.
- Drive organizational alignment around customer experience, operational readiness gaps, and solution prioritization.
People Leadership
Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for Customer Operational Readiness Solutions, Enterprise Customer Solutions, and Digital Health Solutions. The role includes direct people management while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- BA/BS required and an MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ business experience (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Management, etc.) of which at least 8 years of demonstrated marketing experience and proven performance is required.
- Significant healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, consulting, health system, market access, provider operations, or commercial leadership experience required.
- Demonstrated success developing and implementing customer-focused strategies, operational readiness programs, or healthcare innovation initiatives.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional teams in matrix environments.
- Strong understanding of provider, payer, health system, and care delivery ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer insights into scalable business solutions and measurable outcomes.
- Experience leading innovation, digital health, healthcare technology partnerships, or enterprise customer initiatives preferred.
- Proven people leadership experience with direct management responsibility.
- Excellent executive communication, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and influence skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, such as AI, through exploration, iteration, and applying new tools over time preferred.
The position is located in Titusville, NJ and requires up to 20% travel, predominantly US. At J&J, we work flexibly with 3 days in-office with 2 days remote work.

$150,000.00 - $258,750.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
• Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
• Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
• Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
• Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
• Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
• Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
• Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
• Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
• Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
