What is the MedTech Marketing Leadership Program?

From surgical interventions to pulsed field ablation, we’re advancing life-changing medtech innovation—and bringing health technology to market in unique and meaningful ways. The MedTech Marketing Leadership Development Program is a full-time, two-year rotational program that:

  • Prepares MBA candidates to impact strategy and accelerate breakthroughs
  • Consists of two one-year rotations—downstream and upstream—in which you'll take on challenging assignments and receive advanced training and personal coaching spanning U.S. medtech marketing and global strategic marketing 
  • Gives you experience in key marketing functions, defining brand and product strategies and collaborating with cross-functional leaders

Upon successful completion of the program, participants may advance into a full-time marketing manager position

Downstream: U.S. marketing

  • Lead and execute impactful product launches across North America, driving customer education and adoption through targeted, customer facing initiatives 
  • Engage closely with the market through direct customer interactions—including partnering with sales teams, attending industry meetings, and reviewing relevant medical literature—to translate customer needs into clear product positioning and messaging 
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure strong alignment between customer demand, marketing strategy, and supply readiness

Upstream: Global strategic marketing 

  • Lead worldwide product launches and develop marketing materials, pricing strategies, promotional plans, training plans, and forecasts
  • Contribute to the development of global brand strategies for products, services and programs, including value proposition development, segmentation, positioning, lifecycle management and similar
  • Partner with R&D to lead project core team on new product development, from product conception to launch
  • Build collaborative relationships with surgeon customers and key vendors to identify unmet portfolio and customer needs for assigned product categories

The MedTech Marketing Leadership Development Program is available in the U.S. at the following locations:

  • Surgery: Cincinnati, OH; Raritan, NJ; Santa Clara, CA  
  • Electrophysiology: Irvine, CA 
  • Vision: Irvine, CA; Jacksonville, FL

What are the application requirements for the MedTech Marketing Leadership Development Program?

  • Minimum of four years post-undergraduate professional work experience  
  • U.S. work authorization without the need for sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1-B status) now or in the future (students currently in the country on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT require future sponsorship for long-term employment) 
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, project management, communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and collaborate cross functionally
  • Experience in healthcare, medtech, marketing, product management, market research, sales, business development or a related field

We offer a 10-12 week internship in medtech marketing from May to August. It is designed to promote learning, networking and career development. 

  • Placement on a critical business project in one of our multiple franchises within the marketing organization 
  • High-performing summer interns are given priority for the full-time program upon graduation
