Job Description:

Overall Purpose of the Role

The Surgical Specialist is responsible for driving the adoption and growth of Surgical Vision products by providing clinical, technical, and commercial support to healthcare professionals. The role focuses on building strong partnerships with ophthalmologists, surgeons, and hospital stakeholders, while ensuring excellent procedural support and customer experience across the assigned territory.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance and market share growth of Surgical Vision (e.g., cataract, refractive, and surgical solutions) within the assigned territory
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ophthalmologists, surgeons, OR staff, and key opinion leaders (KOLs)
  • Provide in-field clinical support during surgical procedures, ensuring optimal product usage and outcomes
  • Conduct product demonstrations, training, and education sessions for healthcare professionals
  • Support new product launches, clinical evaluations, and adoption of new technologies
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including hospital listings and account expansion
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to support business strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Supply Chain) to drive business objectives
  • Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and customer records
  • Ensure full compliance with J&J policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or related healthcare field
  • 2–5 years of experience in:
    • Medical device sales
    • Clinical specialist / surgical support roles
  • Experience in ophthalmology or surgical OR environment is strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical aptitude and ability to support live procedures
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good command of Thai and English
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
