Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Manager, APAC Trade Lead, located in Singapore, Central Singapore, LS Yongsan Tower, 92, Hangang-daero; Building A, Xinyan Mansion, No. 65, Guiqing Rd., Xuhui District, Shanghai

The Manager, APAC Trade Lead is a key member of a global supply chain function, providing operational trade compliance leadership and support across the Asia‑Pacific region. This role ensures compliant, efficient, and scalable trade operations that enable uninterrupted product flow while supporting DePuy Synthes’ global supply chain objectives. The role partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to manage trade execution, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement across import/export and customs processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regional trade leadership for APAC, ensuring compliance with applicable customs, import/export, and trade regulations across all operating countries.
  • Serve as the primary APAC point of contact for global trade operations, supporting global supply chain execution and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with global and regional supply chain, logistics, quality, finance, and legal teams to enable compliant product movement and issue resolution.
  • Oversee and standardize trade processes, controls, and documentation to ensure consistent execution and audit readiness.
  • Monitor trade performance metrics, identify risks or gaps, and lead corrective and preventive actions across the region.
  • Support product launches, network changes, and supply chain transformations by assessing and managing trade impacts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, cycle time, compliance, and service performance.
  • Engage with external partners (brokers, freight forwarders, and authorities) to ensure effective and compliant trade execution.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or related field).
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 6–8 years of progressive experience in supply chain, trade compliance, logistics, or related operational roles, aligned with a Manager‑level position.
  • Strong working knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and import/export operations within APAC.
  • Experience partnering with global stakeholders and operating within a matrixed, multinational organization.
  • Proven ability to manage complex operational issues, assess risk, and drive compliant outcomes.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures and geographies.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with global trade systems, ERP platforms, and trade automation tools.
  • Demonstrated experience leading regional or global process standardization initiatives.
  • Prior exposure to customs audits, investigations, or regulatory inspections.
  • Experience working in or supporting APAC markets from a regional hub location.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Other

  • Language: English required; additional APAC languages preferred.
  • Travel: Up to 20–30% regional and international travel.
  • Certifications: Trade compliance or customs certifications preferred but not required.
